  1. Absolutely no reason not to call him up. He actually has pretty good minor league numbers his whole career. Time to give him a shot
  2. Cole is absolutely the target But I'd be satisfied with MadBum or Strasburg if he opts out
  3. Our team need is a starting pitcher that can be relied on to have an ERA 3.5 or lower and pitch 200 IP. So yes, we need a big free agent signing to have any shot next year
  4. He’ll be in Charlotte shortly
  5. Considering the last two years he was worth 6.1 bWAR and 3.7 fWAR, he's easily worth $6million a year. His career OPS is also weighed down by his first three years when he was sub .600. the last two years he's been right around .700. I've got no issue whatsoever giving $6million to a utility infielder who plays plus defense at every position, has great range, and is a great clubhouse presence. That's actually a bargain for what he brings to the table. He's exactly the type of bench player you want on the team when we start to compete again.
  6. Yolmer isnt a good defensive infielder, hes a GREAT defensive infielder. Hes also a great clubhouse guy and had an awful slump to start the year. His offense will pick back up.
  7. This one was a no brainer. Guy has been excellent all year. a bit disappointed Moncada didn’t make it
  8. 1) anderson 2) moncada 3) eloy 4) abreu 5) mccann 6) collins 7) yolmer ? leury 9) cordell/tilson
  9. I see no reason to trade any assets for a pitcher at this point. Not unless the team makes a huge run between now and the end of july. Wait till the offseason and target a guy like bumgarner
  10. I'd like the Sox to target Millas with their next pick. Need more good defensive backstops in case Collins doesn't develop his defense any further
  11. I do love Vaughns swing. He gets some great shoulder and hip separation. One of the things I hated about Witts swing. Witt screams light hitting middle infielder to me.
  12. All right. It's settled. Dick Allen is the official player comp for Andrew Vaughn
  13. Ok, how about Dick Allen? Also a manlet first baseman under 6'0 who couldn't run and hit about .300.
  14. What about Steve Garvey for a Vaughn comp? .300 hitter, about 20-25hr power, not very fast, and short
  15. Great...so you're saying we drafted a balding manlet?
  16. Giolito is an absolute stud. Amazing how one single tweak in his mechanics improved his command tenfold
  17. I’m a big fan of both his and hollers versatility. They are the types of bench guys you want on a team.
  18. I'm convinced you don't actually watch any of the games and just check boxscores. Giolitos stuff sucked in the first half of the year. He had a 2mph bump on his fastball in the second half. His stuff came back midway through the year. What plagued him throughout the year was a complete lack of command of any of his pitches.
  19. Giolito looks like an ace. Where are all the posters ready to give up on him 2 months ago? Just need Reylo to develop some consistency
  20. Coop had nothing to do with his new pitching mechanics.
  21. Not surprised. It's time to put Coop out to pasture
