  1. Will White Sox concession stands have a burger named after burger in a few years? The Burger Burger?
  2. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 10:04 PM) Anyone here wanna fill a n00b like me in on this term "arm bar" -- haven't heard it before Burger. straightening the front arm in the loading phase of the swing. somewhat controversial because it leads to a longer swing path to the zone, but there's been some successful major leaguers throughout history who've had an arm bar in their swing
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 23, 2017 -> 06:37 AM) The Sox should be looking to cash in on Avi. Find someone who needs a bat this summer and turn him into 3 assets. They should also be cashing in on Jose Abreu given he's so much older than the new core. Abreus not going anywhere anytime soon with Moncada and Robert now in the org
  4. If Avi keeps this up through july the question becomes whether you sign him long term as melkys eventual LF replacement or include him as a sweetener in any Q or Robertson trades to gut another teams farm. Would the Nats give up Robles for Robertson if Avi is included?
  5. Well that might have put a fire under some teams asses to trade for him
  6. Watched benintendi go 4 for 4 with a hr and two doubles on friday. Really wish we wouldve been able to get him, hes gonna be a stud
  7. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Feb 19, 2017 -> 02:15 PM) The Q trade will bring back a starting CF. Straight up for McCutchen
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 17, 2017 -> 01:29 PM) If we are looking at the roster as currently constructed, plus the minors as currently constructed we have zero offense in our future and barely any in our pipeline. If our hitters are coming from prospect trades and the draft this team is at least next decade away. Collins, Anderson, Moncada, and Basabe are all in the pipeline. If one of Fisher, Call, Engel, or Tilson hits, that's not a bad pipeline. But I'm in the camp of going all out for Machado when he hits free agency, and there's always the chance that Abreu is still a productive DH into his mid to late 30's.
  9. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 01:10 PM) Reynolds is a moron I do not care if Moncada homers in EVERY single at bat in spring training, the Sox must wait until late May to call him up so they do not start his service clock and gain and extra season of team control The Sox are not contenders this season, why burn a year of control for any of our top prospects? Doubt HR's approaching it from the perspective of team control
  10. QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Feb 1, 2017 -> 09:43 PM) We're going to get a great prospect, the greatest prospect It's gonna be bigly, let me tell you. Bigly!
  11. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jan 17, 2017 -> 01:15 PM) Yup. Dude needs some humble pie. I want him to be a bad ass but it's also already kinda hard to root for him. Speak for yourself. Already my favorite prospect
  12. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 12:57 AM) How does this thread get 10 pages a day when NOTHING is happening? The more we speculate, the greater the likelihood a trade will occur!
  13. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 14, 2017 -> 03:17 AM) Q to Cubs is what I want as well. Jimenez, Happ, Cease, Candelario, and Chesny Young for Q, Robertson and $8 M. I think this is a great trade for both sides,it's a shame because there seems to be a stigma for trading with the Cubs these days. As if we're going to compete with the Cubs in the next 3 years. Who cares about some stupid stigma.
  14. I really don't get why the Cubs aren't a more talked about trade partner. Happ, Jimenez, Candelario, + low level guy just makes too much sense as a match for Q since they're all blocked in the near future.
  15. For those that don't want Bell as the headliner, how would Bellinger have been good enough as a headliner with the Dodgers for Sale?
  16. QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 10:21 PM) Sanchez sucks, Lawrie is fine but almost assured of injury and Saladino could easily be playing 3rd if Frazier gets dealt. You want whackadoodle Everth Cabrera manning 2b after a night on the town punching cops and pounding amphetamines? Again I dont really want Johnson just because I've been there before. So give me Everth and hope he can limit his felonious behavior. If Evereth can cut down on the punching of cops and increase the intake of amphetamines, we might just have something
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 09:01 PM) What risk is there waiting to deal Robertson? The rumor from raBBit was that he doesn't have much of a market right now. Might as well give him a chance to rebuild his value. And relievers are the ideal chips to move at the deadline. I don't think there's any risk but maybe some opportunity risk. Trading Robertson now allows the Sox to put Jones in the closer role for half a year to increase his value to swap at the deadline.
  18. QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 05:15 PM) OTOH those are quite delicious. Gross bro
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 05:13 PM) I kinda cooled on him after a poster said in person he's the size of a jack in the box taco. He's like 5'10 a buck seventy. Not tiny, but pretty small
  20. First White Sox game I ever saw in person http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NY...199905160.shtml
  21. Am I the only one that would rather have Keller than Glasnow if the Pirates are truly saying Meadows is untouchable?
  22. QUOTE (beautox @ Dec 23, 2016 -> 12:43 PM) An elite staff sure is exciting as well as a line up like this DH - Fisher* C - Collins* 1B - Bell# 2B - Newman SS - Anderson 3B - FA - Machado or Donaldson in the 18 offseason or Nolan Arenado in the '19 offseason LF - Call CF - Moncada# RF - Basabe # Even if we're still a year away, I'm all for giving Machado anything he wants to bring him in. He'd be entering his age 26 season in 2019, and the Sox would have him for his prime as these guys become contributors.
