  1. Bullshit. If someone assigns "political" meaning to non-political things, it is by definition, stooopid. If I came to you as a patient, and told you that therapies meant to improve ROM are "political," you'd be entirely right to call my position "stoopid." Because ROM is not political, and nor are vaccines. Giving any air to moronic ideas that non-political things are political only makes the world dumber and shittier. You quoted a post of mine that replied to Greg's stoopud opinon that "folks who doubt vaccines and masks aren't going to change their minds." I replied with examples of dumb fucks who only wanted vaccines when it was too late, like Phil Valentine and others, who are now rotting in their graves, thanks to their stoopidity. The sad part is that assholes like Phil Valentine probably got even dumber people killed among their viewerships/listenerships.
  2. Hey, does Ivermectin have full FDA approval for the treatment of COVID-19? How about Hydroxycloroquine? Or are they both bullshit witchdoctor "cures" that are, at best "off label," or at worse, getting the terminally stoopud killed?
  3. Greg, I don't pick on YOU, I pick on some of your stoopud opinions that are generally based on bullshit. I've already tried helping you in the past, but you continue to do the same stoopud shit that does not serve you, and that does nothing to improve your life. You're still watching too much TV [especially stoopud political TV], you spend too much time on stoopud social media, you're clearly not exercising, you're not reading non-political books, and you're not going out to meet successful people that come from a different background than you. So, since you've decided to live in a world of shit, I've decided to call you on your shit, and the shit you toss around in here. To the bolded, you're full of fucking shit, and we can FACT-CHECK your bullshit: Fact-Checking Bullshit Greg saw on social media or Fox Once again, I'll ask you to elucidate: Exactly WHY is a vaccine "political?" [Oh, and back your opinions with some basis of fact, or you'll again look like an imbecile.] Thanks in advance.
  4. Let me first eat some crow: I was pretty certain that the reasons for the loss would be FIRST, Nagy’s shitty play calling, THEN the shitty defensive play. Instead, I'll actually credit Nagy for not abandoning the run in the first 5 minutes of the game. Ill also credit him for using Fields fairly appropriately, IMO. Rather, this loss is on Ryan Pace, his stoopid squandering of resources, and his panic buys in FA and in trade. You've got some $22MM in dead cap money, brought about by previous stoopid signings in FA. You've also got another $25MM wrapped up in Quinn and Foles, two panic buys that can't fucking play dead. In sum, why can't the offense work? Because the O-Line sucks, because they simply don't have enough cash to spend on better players. Why can't the secondary cover? Because they've had to cut good players, and sign shittier ones. Pace is a fucking turd. This team will be shitty for awhile, because he sucks at his job.
  5. No, you don't get to skirt the question by bullshitting your way through this. (And yes, whoever is moderating this thread lets you get away with inflammatory language and deliberately-stooopud questions.) Here's the KEY question again: Why is a vaccine "political?" That said, to the above post, you're once again full of shit, and you know it, and the mods know it. Ask the corpse of Phil Valentine, or the other stoopid conservative commentators if they've "changed their minds on masks or vaccines." Dumb fucks dying of covid THEY'RE rotting in the ground now, but wished they'd taken the vax. The terrible thing though, is that they probably killed other monkey morons among their listeners/viewers who similarly doubt masks and vaccines.
  6. Ok, I'm game: You keep calling this "political." Why is a vaccine "political?" Also, to the bolded, who "worships" the government, and who "worships " Dr Fauci? Where are the temples or churches dedicated to the government or Fauci? What are their sacred texts or dogmas? You made the statement/threw this turd into this thread, now go ahead and have a bite. Defend yourself, if you can. Thanks in advance.
  7. LOL, I've long ago resigned to the eventuality that those two are gonna get re-signed, despite their multitude of demonstrable failures. It actually takes the edge off one's fandom to accept this as already baked into this year's pie.
  8. Yeah, I want the following to happen first: 1. Matt Nagy's stoopud pass happy play calling to once again be proven as a failure. 1a. The team to magically rediscover the running game, which can help the aging LT, help the rookie QB, and help the aging Defense, instead of stoopidly calling an offense best suited for this year's version of Madden. 2. The LT position to be sorted out a bit more, 3. Tarik Cohen to return to play, 4. The Bears to fall out of playoff contention. I figure that should be around ~7ish games into the season, so that Fields can take over the 8th/9th game into the season or so.
  9. Yeah, I'm the opposite. I dont think that any QB would make a difference with THIS coaching, THOSE plays, THAT O-Line, and THOSE skill position players. So why get Fields killed, when it just won't fucking matter? I think that most media types KNOW that this is a mediocre team. But, they also know that they need to keep the clicks and the ratings going. So they gin those up with this stoopid opinion that a rookie is gonna miracle their asses into the playoffs. Again, with THIS coach, THOSE plays, THAT O-Line, and THOSE skill position players. (Not to mention THAT secondary.)
  10. Indeed. I'd actually respect say, a Bernstein or a Parkins if they just came out and admitted that they just want to see Fields for the benefit of their shows. It would be refreshing for them to admit their own interests, rather than bullshitting their way through life. This is probably a 6-11 or 7-10 team, at best. There will probably be another year or two of having to cull stoopid contracts from their cap structure. And, there isnt a 1st round pick at the end of this year. On balance, I'm not expecting much of anything from this team, so I don't want Fields' development to get fucked over. That said, its actually refreshing, in that I can just dvr the games, rather than watching them live/in full. I can then fast forward through ~2.5 hours of the 3 hours of show time per game this year. Im gonna get a lot done on Sundays this fall, I think.
  11. Well, spreading your opinions in the media on the basis of intellectual dishonesty is a bad thing, wouldn't you say? After all, it isn't just in sports media that we see this sort of thing. We've got millions of imbeciles who refuse to Vax based on the media's intellectual dishonesty, which makes life suck for those of us who aren't imbeciles. So as it pertains to Chicago sports media, I HATE with the fire of 1,000 Suns how they cheer for the scrubs from the press box, and I hate how they argue dishonestly about other topics. In this case, Fields is a fucking Fabrege Egg, and should be handled with kid gloves. At least initially, IMO.
  12. I think we're saying the same thing, actually. I think that most media types are like hyperactive 12 year olds with ADD: ANY type of attention, whether positive or negative, is a "good thing" for them. So whether you're "hate watching" a show, or "hate listening" to Bernstein or Parkins or any other talking head, its still ratings to them, just the same as if you're tuning in after a big win. As it pertains to QBs, didn't we just see a highly-drafted QB get pressed into service 4 games into his career? And how, exactly, did that go? How many great QBs started right away in recent years? [Maybe Luck? or Manning? I honestly can't remember many that did.] OTOH, we can list chapter-and-verse of great QBs that sat and watched for a majority of their rookie seasons, without suffering any ill effects on their development. [Mahomes, some guy named Brady, a couple bums up in green bay, and a couple others come immediately to mind, without consulting the interwebs.] For me, I'd rather go the Mahomes/Brady mode of development, than the Trubisky mode of development. Long story short, these media types give zero fucks about whether the team does well, only that you listen to/watch their shows.
  13. I dont think the Bears did much of anything to improve the roster, EXCEPT for Fields miraculously falling into their laps: 1. They've gotten older overall on the defense 2. They've gotten worse on the O-Line & in the secondary. 3. The offense, that started to be more efficient towards the end of last season with a more balanced attack will go back to Nagy’s stoopud pass-happy attack that sucks. Meanwhile, the stoopud media just wants to see fields ASAP, so that they have something to talk about on their shows, or write about in their articles. Im perfectly fine with letting fields sit, because this team ain't winning anything; I also don't want Fields to get hurt in what looks like a losing season. I think this is a 6 or 7 win team at best. YMMV.
  14. The US plays an antiquated style of soccer. While the rest of the world tries to keep the ball on the ground and use the passing game, the US is launching long balls that rarely meet their targets. Honestly, the US looks like the EPL, circa 2005 or so. Today, what with the importation of coaches from elsewhere, even the English dont play the long ball any more. Even they try to put the ball on the ground, and possess it. That said, once the game was tied, the US started to possess more, and thus, they had more control over the game. (To the uninitiated, this is akin to the Blackhawks having puck possession to control the game, back during their dynasty.) For me, the US is either the 2nd or 3rd most talented side in CONCACAF. If they can keep the ball a bit more, they'll roll to qualification, while we all laugh. If they keep trying the stoopud long ball over and over, they might not qualify. We'll have to see.
  15. This one got to me. You should want people to get vaxxed, full stop.
  16. Here's a link for those who cain't use the google machine, or are locked into their stoopud facebook news feed: The REAL chances of getting breakthrough COVID [Yeah, yeah, I know, some of you cain't trust the medjuh, 'cuz they hate freedum or something.]
  17. Dumb question: Why are you sharing something from 2013? Thanks in advance.
  18. I really don't want to be the old guy that looks down upon today's generation of player, but: 1. Despite this team having a metric fuckton more talent than ever in US history, it plays like 11 guys out gloryhunting. 2. Yes, this team is mentally weak. And yes, the crappy teams from the 90s would have killed this team, just based on sheer guts and desire. Dooley and Lalas and Balboa and the rest of them would have beaten these weak sacks of shit into submission. 3. McKennie's moronic behavior is emblematic of the mental weakness of this team. Its also embarrassing that Berhalter has apparently done exactly jack and shit about this. How some fucking 23 year old gets off doing the stoopud shit hes done, as if he's actually done anything in this game is beyond me. Yeah, I'm not quite there yet, but I'm getting close to giving as many fucks about the US Mens National Team as they give.
  19. Any resistance/weight training? The EPOC generated by that should help gin up more burn.
  20. Exactly. Oakland absolutely pantsed KW on the Billy Koch trade eons ago. And it doesn't look like this FO has learned anything, if the Kimbrel acquisition doesn't get better soon. They needed a setup man, but got an expensive closer. I hope it works out, but early returns suck so far.
  21. But I never mentioned "the architect." I mentioned the book, which was written by Michael Lewis. And again, what does any of this have to do with buying high on an aging closer?
  22. Wait, so the author Michael Lewis is "an abject failure of a human being?" Look, going into the TDL, this team needed a RH setup man. Instead, the geniuses that brought you James Shields brought in the most expensive closer available instead. Buying high on RPs is bad.
  23. Ok, I'm at a loss here. Who is the abject failure of a human? More importantly, how does that impact buying an aging closer, instead of a setup man with closing experience?
  24. And yet, despite the SOX being in an inferior division, 2021 will be the first year with back-to-back postseason in franchise history. OTOH, despite Oakland being in a tougher division, they've made the postseason more regularly. Buying high is stoopud. Buying high on RPs (whose performances are notoriously volatile) is extremely stoopud.
  25. More like the book Moneyball taught the world damn near two decades ago that buying high, especially on RPs, is stoopud. Yes, Kimbrel "WAS" a HOF pitcher years ago. And yes, Kimbrel had a nice half-season with the scrubs. But, I'd bet that Kimbrel's 2021 with the scrubs was probably a mirage/the beginning of his inevitable age-related decline.
