  1. For real. Jose should have swung at it and hit it to the vacated spot tbh. He's lucky that wasnt called strike 3.
  2. Zack was due, Tim was due, oh look who else is due. Pito. Bang one out Jose!
  3. If only they knew about Timmy's pasta parties.
  4. I would just like to point out that I am the one that started ReyLo ?? at least on SoxTalk. I remember that game thread well.
  5. Perspective haha. One had to do it with Acuna, and the other had to do it with Trout. Yeah, the Sox aren't the only team losing superstars to injuries.
  6. They are bro. Yankees are playing themselves
  7. I don't think the Sox are getting anything for him. They released him, I think he became a free agent.
  8. Excellent article. The story of the Sox rebuild and their current team truly is remarkable. I wish more people around baseball would recognize it. Maybe they will after the team gets deep in the playoffs. But each one of these guys has had to face some major adversity and maneuver some tricky obstacles to get to where they are. And kudos to the scouting team.
  9. I think if Burger keeps playing like he is, defensively AND with the bat, the Sox should keep him. He's playing great defense at 3B. Try him at 2B and keep your guys. I know it's really early and it's a risk, and there isn't much time left to make trade decisions, but they've made it this far without outside additions. Eloy and Robert are coming back soon too, which helps a lot. And if Burger doesn't work at 2B (different set of athletic skills needed for that position), I know many people would hate this, but it used to be Moncada's primary position. I know Moncada is better when he needs to get rid of the ball quickly and make quick movements on plays, but maybe he's grown to the point where he'd play 2B well. Then you could move Burger to 3B where we have seen that he can hold his own and more over at the hot corner.
  10. Hell yes. I am ready for some Eloy bombs
  11. Deeaaaamnnn. I was just watching Eaton shag bp in Detroit. He looked good. Very surprising
  12. In the United States of America, yes.
  13. This is kind of morbid but can you bet on injuries in sports betting? I might jump on that wagon... (kidding)
  14. Getting to the point where I really have no interest in watching anymore. And that is freaking sad.
  15. Wish this would've been the lineup on Saturday when I was in Detroit. Damn.
  16. Yeah I don't have numbers or anything but I feel like, before they shifted, the same things used to happen, where hard hit balls were outs (at-him balls, or hang-wiffums if you will) and soft hit balls (duck-snorts) were hits. The fact that Hawk even named them shows that it happened often enough. I agree about the psychology aspect... What I think needs to happen is pitchers should pitch more to the shift and hitters should learn how to hit more against the shift. Although I'm sure that's a lot harder to do than it sounds...and I think pitchers are probably pitching more to the shift than hitters trying to hit against it.
