Pitching and defense, especially the defense, really needs to step it up if this lineup is what we're going to roll with for the next few weeks. At least Lamb is making this pitcher work. Nice job getting on base.

He was the best hitter in yesterdays ballgame...but yeah if he is in the stating lineup, and likely Garcia starting at ss for TA, you dont have any pinch runner options off the bench.

Doesn't matter if they are in the games. They need to win. They could, and should, have won 3 of 4 in that series. SP needs to be more efficient, defense needs to be better, and for the love of everything, they need to hit with men on base, with risp. They need timely hitting. If they don't, they're going to continue to lose 1 and 2 run ballgames and it will be the death of the team. I am usually a very optimistic person...but the optics right now look like dogshit and shades of the last 10 years of baseball, minus 2020. It's early, certainly not time to panic or jump ship, but this is the time to be concerned and not let it get out of control.

This is starting to feel more like a development year than a contending year. We have Madrigal, Collins, Robert, Cease, all developing to major league talent. 3 of those names are supposed to be major contributors to the team's success. They better figure it out like by July, or this season is a wash. That said it's still SUPER early, but early signs aren't great, at all. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. Even Moncada looks like he needs to relearn how to compete at the major league level.

They beat themselves with boneheaded mistakes in games 1 and 3. Tonight they got beat by Shohei...understandable...but even after that it was like, wow. This is some shit. No discipline whatsoever, and horrible pitch selection.

Wonder what Tyler Saladino is doing these days...he was a nice guy. And had a cool moustache. Maybe the Sox could sign him, and then when he gets injured, they could bring back Yolmer? I liked his Mickey Mouse singles.
