  1. And theres another 8 pitch at bat full count for EE.
  2. Constant full counts by our pitchers. Constant. At bats taking for ever.
  3. Every one of these at bats lasting at least 5 pitches. That inning took forEVER. Seattle just has a great hitting team. The arms of our pitchers are going to fall off if our starters can't even pitch 5 innings.
  4. How annoying. Keep starting off 1-0 and 2-0 ending with full counts and then soft singles.
  5. Say what you want about the babip, Going the opposite way is what made Avi so good a couple years ago, then he reverted after he got injured and kept trying to pull everything again. So yes, being a hitter than can hit to all fields is advantageous, and IMO makes you more valuable because as a hitter you can be used in many different ways in different situations. Tim also has speed and power which just adds to it.
  6. I remember I always loved it when McCann came up to bat for Detroit, because he never hit. Really my least liked aquisition of the offseason. I hope he gets replaced in the next couple months by Collins or Sevala.
  7. Well when Jay comes back, you will probably get your wish.
  8. I wanted to see Palka bunt it it to 3rd
  9. Yes, not worried about catching up to 4 runs, am worried about the Mariners scoring more.
  10. 83 pitches and counting in the 4th...hope Banuelos feels good today.
  11. That's what you're going to get with Leury in center instead of Engel. Sacrificing defense for the hits. Yeah, Lucas not looking sharp. Sigh...I really want him to be able to put it together.
  12. Unfortunately this is starting to look like the Sox won't score any runs until they get into the bullpen. Hope im wrong.
  13. Yolmer making up for his errors to start the season
  14. Im sure the great showing yesterday helped. Also if it is anything like it is over here across the pond, this is the most beautiful day of the year so far. And its saturday.
  15. Yeah, sorry, I'm on eastern time and forgot to do the 1 hour difference.
  16. 1:10 Central Start Leake vs Giolito This will be a good test for Gio, as he is not pitching against a weak offense this time like he was against KC. Will see how he fares. Looks like some of our hitters have had pretty good success against Leake: Abreu 3 for 3 with a homer Yonder 3 for 8 with a homer Anderson 2 for 4 Castillo 3 for 10, Moncada 3 for 3 with a homer And Yolmer is 2 for 4 against him. Go Sox!!!
  17. Same here. I was ten when I discovered being a baseball fan, except that was in 2004. Half my family were cubs fans, half were Sox. Very glad I chose the south side. Of course, them winning it all the next year hooked me for life, so yes, I agree that the next few years will be very crucial for the future of this baseball team. I also appreciate the different generations of fans on here. I enjoy listening to stories from baseball back in the day before I was born, one of the many reasons I loved listening to Hawk growing up.
  18. At least they capitalized on Seattle's mistakes. Good to see the team hitting. Crowd was into it the whole game.
  19. Our bullpen coming in next inning makes me nervous.
  20. So what if Engel actually hits this year. I mean, there's no real expectations, but just what if?
