  1. Yeah 100 pitches only 57 strikes. Gotta get better at finding the zone if he is going to compete. Hard fastballs at the major league level won't do anything unless the pitcher has a nasty offspeed pitch to compliment it...which he currently is working on.
  2. Great play by Yolmer there and the pick by Jose. That was reminiscient of Crede/Konerko
  3. Yeah, I think it's time to send Eloy to AAA. Screw waiting for Robert to push up one of the A ball outfielders, Eloy does not belong in that league.
  4. Makes you wonder if Melky was still available...
  5. Did Zavala get hurt? I see he was pinch hit for after just one AB...as a DH
  6. Weather aside, our lineup facing a lefty with an ERA over 5 and ReyLo on the mound,I'm predicting we win 6-2 with a Matty D homer or 2. Abreu continues his hot streak.
  7. Great night for Kopech and Cease on the farm. Seems like Dunning has collected himself after a rocky first inning. Basabe and Booker with homers. Eloy officially in a slump.
  8. Did you see the fangraphs article on him? He is like one of the best hitters in the league. More than a serviceable DH.
  9. I heard some rumblings that they may try Yolmer in the outfield. What would be the purpose of this? To give him more versatility? Or maybe to make some room in the infield for next season for a free agent?
  10. Uh oh. Moncada might be benched for not hustling all the way
  11. Maybe he isn't a major leaguer because he hasn't been given the chance to develop at the minor league level like most prospects should be. On that note, if they had a normal double play shift with the second baseman playing more up the middle, that's an easy dp. I hate player shifts sometimes.
  12. It's hard with Fulmer because he'll have like 3 or 4 real bad games, like he lasts 2 innings, then he'll have 1 or 2 good games and that actually kind of pisses me off because it feels like it gives the front office/coaching staff "justified" reason to keep throwing him out there. He just isn't a starting pitcher.
  13. If it was up to me he would be up here tomorrow. But if you go by the rhetoric and pattern of this front office, they will probably keep him there for a couple months, unless he does to AAA for like a month striaght what he is doing to AA, or better. Again, he needs to exceed the expectations of the club at each level. Until he does that, he isn't getting called up. So who knows. But if I were betting, September is my call.
  14. I doubt Eloy will be up that soon. He'll probably see Charlotte sometime in early-mid June when Robert returns and heads to the Dash. I bet they keep Eloy in Charlotte until the September call-ups.
