  1. If Yolmer keeps this up long term we won't need to look for a future 3rd baseman.
  2. In real time, it seemed like he slowed down considerably at second base.
  3. Where the hell were these bats the last 2 weeks???
  4. Is it just me or does it seem when the team does something well with the bat they seem to do something stupid on the basepaths? Like, seems to happen more often that not.
  5. Now that is the kind of swing I want to see from Avi. Took a tough inside pitch and dumped it into right field. That's 3 hits in 5 at bats for him now. Nice to see
  6. Yeah haha. Definitely not next season unless he miraculously finds a way to hit over .250 by season's end.
  7. My first thread of the young (yet seemingly very long) season. See if we can get a winning streak going here. Fulmer (replacing the injured Migo) vs Leake Leake struck out 7 Astros in his last start, giving up 5 runs, only allowing one walk Mariners are 11-9 Sox Lineup: 1) Moncada 2) Avi (2 hits yesterday, see if he can keep it up) 3) Abreu 4) Delmonico 5) Beef 6) Yolmer 7) Matty D (Dude needs another 3 homer game) 8 ) Timmy 9) Ya boi Engel
  8. My opinion. Engel has until the end of the month to prove he can start (that's a week away), then I think you will see Thompson start the majority of the games. I still think Engel has a place on THIS team, I just think it is way more suited as a late-inning running/defensive replacement.
  9. Welcome!! I warn you to not go on the game threads for at least 2 years haha. JK, it is in those threads you will see how passionate we are as fans. We live with the team, and, sadly, die with the team (seems to be more often than not these days)...but with the rebuild fully underway, only a matter of time before we conquer the league (or, at least the division) for years!!
  10. Rodon is the first step. One step at a time. Hopefully this will be his last major injury setback
  11. It is so nice to see a major league pitcher on our team
  12. Yeah, high pitch count for the first inning but he doesn't look lost or frustrated. His slider and curve are coming out of his hand really nicely. Unlike Giolito, Lopez has the feel for the release point. And his stuff is major league quality. He may very well be the ace of this staff in 2 years. He just needs to attack the zone.
  13. Yeah I agree with this assessment. I mean, they offered Ventura his managerial position after the 2016 season. With the way players are praising Renteria for how he manages this team, I would say he is in it for the long-haul. I don't really mind him that much to be honest. He's not the reason this team is losing. It's their lack of talent, and I would even say some of the coaches. It's always so easy to blame the managers and coaches when a team is dong horribly, but I think the situations are not usually as black and white as we want to make them out to be.
  14. I don't think they win the game, but I think Lopez at least makes it competitive.
  15. Anyone watching this current game...like I said, it is going to get worse before it gets better.
