  1. A lot of people talking about the Sox bad history with kunckleballers. While that may be the case, this group has surprised us more than a few times this year. I wouldn't base the outcome of this game off of previous performances. See our road record this year, including trips to Oakland and Minnesota. Track records in those parks haven't necessarily been good, but they destroyed both of those teams at their home field. I don't think we really can apply past performances accurately to this team. We will see tonight.
  2. Trickey Dickey with an ERA over 6. Not so tricky this year. Let's hope this bats come alive early and shut the door before the 4th inning. Looking for a blowout today with Sale on the mound. Let's go White Sox!!!
  3. This might have been talked about already, but why is Hawk not calling this game? Thought he was doing the road games.
  4. Never count this team out, especially with their ability to score late runs
  5. Gavin Floyd in the pen...wouldnt mind him being the 5th starter lol
  6. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 05:23 PM) Can somebody find which unpopulated stretch of woods Buehle is living in and see if he's looking for a job? Yeah...doubt he's looking for a job with the kind of money he has lol
  7. I wonder if this mystery starter pitches at least decent giving the Sox a fighting chance tomorrow if they possibly consider moving Danks into a long-term bullpen role.
  8. Ventura must want to piss the fans off. Should have reviewed that.
  9. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 04:52 PM) no you don't f***ing bunt 0-2 goodness Yeah...dumb question lol
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 04:50 PM) Melky locked in. Two great AB to start inning Yep! Absolutely. Frazier and Melk laid off bad pitches and swung at good ones. That's how you play offense.
  11. Ahh mlb.tv is slow!!! Saw the comments before I saw the homerun lol
  12. 1st pitch fastball right down the middle and he fouls it off. That's a sign that a hitter needs to make some adjustments.
  13. They kind of deserve to lose this game after having the bases loaded twice and not scoring any runs
  14. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) You cannot have your hottest 2 hitters followed by an automatic out. If Avi has to play for some reason he needs to be put somewhere else in the lineup. I agree. With the way they are hitting right now, I would do Melky 3rd, Frazier 4th, Lawrie 5th and Abreu 6th followed by your pick of Avila or Jackson. Once Jose starts hitting the ball like he can, move him up to 4th or 5th. I think Melky would do wonders for this lineup hitting 3rd with Eaton getting on before him.
  15. No plate discipline or plate vision. If Garcia is in the lineup...he needs to be hitting 9th.
  16. Good baserunning there by Melky. Exactly what you should be doing there. Cmon Avi...no bad swings
  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:50 PM) I'm not sure what Frazier is doing at the plate. He thinks he is Ricky Henderson trying to bunt like that. On the other hand..Melky is on fiya
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) He got to a full count to 2 guys in the 5th. I'd like to see him nibble a bit less. He has the stuff to get away with a mistake or two. Yeah would help with the pitch count...but as long as he gets guys out, no complaints here.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) Rodon still really prone to falling behind and walking guys. He only has 1 walk today
  20. Texas is currently 2nd in runs scored and in hits in the AL (behind Boston) and the White Sox have only allowed them 1 run over 14 innings so far, and that one run being a homer that barely made it over the fence. I swear if this team makes it to the playoffs, I think they have a real legitimate shot at going all the way with the pitching and current defense they have.
  21. Rodon is pitching exceptionally well today. Really hitting his spots and getting players to roll over and swing and miss. I think so far the Sox pitching have shown that their pitching this season is not a fluke now that they are pitching against one of the better hitting teams in the league.
  22. Can't miss those opportunities...really hope this doesn't come back to bite them
  23. Not pretty but I'll take it! Let's see Ajax get that grand slam back that he missed in Minnesota
