  1. I'm amazed that the Sox even get that many people. Imagine if they were actually a good team, they'd probably average almost 30k.
  2. If Philadelphia, San Diego, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, KC, Cleveland and Baltimore all can be winning baseball teams, there is no reason the Chicago White Sox shouldnt be able to figure it out. At the very least on a cyclical basis. But alas, here we are.
  3. He didn't bad mouth the team, he said what everyone was thinking and JR (or whoever, but it was probably him) didn't like it so they stripped him of his ambassador status. I wonder if enough time has passed and now that the truth about this team has been revealed, that JR now agrees with him. Who knows lol. But at least AJ knows what it takes to run a winning team, as evidenced in his podcasts. He'll probably talk about this on foul territory. He'll be much better than what we've had recently. We need a coach that lights a fire under these guys' asses. Also, I don't really think managerial experience matters as much as playing experience, and yes being a catcher is a huge plus. Look at Steven Vogt for Cleveland. First time manager, ex-catcher managing a Cleveland team that was not expected to do what it's been doing. What do the Sox have to lose? Yeah AJ was a former Sox player so he fits that mold, but he has shown that he also thinks very similarly to a lot of respectable people in the baseball world in how to run an effective team.
  4. I really, really want a reporter to have the balls to recite this exact tweet to Getz and/or Pedro.
  5. There has to be a statement from the Sox saying something along the lines of "this year has been absolutely unacceptable and a complete embarrassment to our team, our fans, our city, and to major league baseball." Like, how long can this go on without someone in leadership acknowledging how much of a failure this has been? Without trying to defend themselves? Have they even publically acknowledged this as being a rebuild? How dense can an organization be?
  6. I was at the game. He was magnificent. It was quite the show to watch. Guardians fans were PISSED. Especially at the umpire lol.
  7. Damn wonder what led to him bringing that up lol
  8. I literally forgot Moncada existed and that Clevinger was even on the team.
  9. They play the Cubs on my birthday weekend. I know what I'll be doing. And...I think they should play the Cubs way more often. Make it an actual rivalry and revive the baseball competitiveness in this city.
  10. Can't wait to hear what Schriffen says about this on air.
  11. Holy s%*#. Better late than never?
  12. Yeah, remember when Robert was supposed to be the next Mike Trout
  13. These morons will probably keep him as the manager for years.
  14. He is so worthless as a baseball player now, it is truly astonishing how far he has fallen. I feel bad for the guy, he obviously doesn't want this to be happening and I don't doubt his work ethic, but it's time to either hang it up or try it with a different team. I wish Jerry had the balls to cut him and Moncada like Houston did with Abreu. October can't come quickly enough.
  15. It was Hawk's time to go. Jason on the other hand...should have been our pbp guy for the next 30-40 years. I didn't like him at first but he grew on me. Benetti and AJ called the Red Sox/Yankees national game on Saturday. It was such a good listen. What the Sox could have had, if they knew what they had in the first place and didn't absolutely suck at what they do.
  16. This was made painfully clear to me when he said "what else am I going to do? I dont play cards...etc" in his interview last year after he fired Kenny and Rick.
