  1. Someone dared me to do it. I can't remember who. Was it you?
  2. This happened last year when we played Boston. I think it was due to some kind of festival they do in Boston every year. I don't know if that's the same reason for today's early start though.
  3. Okay, great comeback win on Saturday night. Extremely quick turnaround though so getting this thread going the night before. We are going for the sweep and SIX in a row! Odds aren't entirely in our favor with Kuechel (1-3, 8.40 era) up against Wacha (3-0, 1.38 era). But I'm as optimistic as anyone! First pitch 10:35 CT on Sunday morning. You can watch on Peacock or NBC (not NBCSC...the actual NBC channel). Let's get a sweep!
  4. Mendick will probably be sent down when Moncada comes back, but if Vaughn weren't hurt, Sheets should be the one to go. Not Burger.
  5. So according to this report, we should have Moncada and Joe Kelly, and possibly Cueto, on the team sometime during the Cleveland series, if not then maybe the first game against the Yankees, no? Also, if Kuechel shits the bed again tomorrow vs. Boston, something has to be done with that. Whether that's Cueto or Lopez or someone else, can't continue just bombing every 5th game with the same guy. Gotta try something new. I don't care how much he's getting paid...and we definitely don't want him to hit that 160 inning mark to guarantee him another year on the team. Thankfully Velasquez has stepped up as late, so that's taken the sting away a bit.
  6. Thank God this game is back on NBC Chicago. What a trainwreck that Apple broadcast was yesterday. We've got Dealin' Dylan Cease on the mound who is coming off the best start of his career so far. Their Sox are starting Nick Pivetta who is 0-4 with an era over 7. Our bats are heating up, so on paper we take this series today. I'd like to see less men left on base, but I'm glad guys are actually getting on. Lets extend this streak to 5!
  7. Just contextually, it fits the mold with how biased they were. Sox are down to their last strike and instead of anticipatingly awaiting the climax of one of the best closers in baseball getting the last strike of the game, he's talking about where the first baseman is positioned. Thats good to bring up for maybe the 6th or 7th inning. Not the 9th.
  8. Hendricks was down to his last strike and dude was talking about where Jose was positioned at 1B. Come on now
  9. It's a complete half ass broadcast. They aren't in the game at all.
  10. Not only did Jose drop it, but he should have stretched differently too to get that ball
  11. Engels speed and defense is much more valuable at the moment. And Leury heating up!
