  1. I mean, of course he would say that he wants to be the starting ss for the mlb team. He should say that. Doesn't mean he should get it though. I know spring numbers don't mean much but if he has a great spring I wouldn't mind him breaking with the team. Idk that I would dub him the regular starter though. I'd rather they sign an experienced veteran that he can split time with and learn from throughout the season.
  2. I have no idea. I also said contending, not great. Contending could literally mean any team that is projected to be a few games over .500.
  3. Just think, if we improve just 1 game each season over the next 120 years, we'll be 162-0.
  4. I just don't think Abreu would want to be on another losing team, he did that with the Sox already. He made his fortune, unless he just desperately wants to play and will do that with anyone who gives him a chance, but you'd think he would go to a contender if he had the option.
  5. Starting to give me Marcus Semien vibes. If Sox let him go he'll probably turn into an MVP candidate for another team.
  6. I do enjoy Chuck and Ozzie, and Frank and Pods when they are on. Gordie is getting better. I might pay to just watch them 😆
  7. Living out of state, I'd pay for it right now if the Bulls and Hawks were any good. I might decide to pay when the Sox season starts. Over a full season it's about the same price as MLB.TV, only I don't get pre-and post- with mlb.tv but I can watch any other team outside of the Tigers. I always think I'm going to watch other teams and I never end up doing so. We'll see what happens.
  8. No wonder he didn't want to come to Chicago, if those reports were true
  9. That I don't know. But personally what I think the Sox should do is sign Juan Soto's best friend or cousin like they did with Manny Machado. That will get fans in the seats. For sure.
  10. Uh oh, trading our star lefty for a top Boston prospect? Getting bad dejavu and Yoan Moncada vibes.
  11. I mean, you had to have seen that sack coming from a mile away right?
  12. Just absolutely inadequacy year in and year out. Just like our Sox.
  13. Eh, I think it goes both ways. Yeah Cole should've ran over but in my opinion Rizzo also should have charged the baseball instead of letting it come to him...it was a slow enough roller to do that, and then his momentum would have carried him to first making it a close play. Both players should have been aggressive, at the very least one of them, but both were passive, and it was costly.
  14. I can't believe they might actually win this game
  15. We visited Cleveland this year on our way back after our trip to Pittsburgh. Im sorry but compared to many other cities, downtown Cleveland is a dump. Does not surprise me one bit the Browns want to move out.
  16. As with everything else, including his sports teams and chsn, JR is delusional with getting money for the new ballpark as well. He thinks his way will work, but it won't, and it will flop.
  17. Same, live in MI and can watch the Sox when they aren't playing Detroit (except I've watched, MAYBE, a month's worth of games the last 2 seasons). I also miss the postgame show with Chuck, Ozzie and Frank/Pods when they are on. It seemed actually like they were showing the postgame shows on mlb.tv there for a little while, I'm not sure if they were just forgetting to cut the feed off or what lol.
  18. As pissed as many people are about chsn not being on Comcast, it could be a blessing in disguise (at least for baseball fans). I don't care how much they make out the antenna to be this great free thing. It's not the future, and people will continue to lose interest if there isn't a streaming option. Manfred seems to be anti-blackout. If more and more markets are running into the RSN issue, especially ones as big as Chicago, a national streaming option where every MLB game is available anytime, outside of maybe national games that are on FOX, etc, would be a great thing for the sport and fans alike.
  19. Except, this is exactly how Grifol sounded when he was hired. Said all the right things, sounded professional before he stepped into the dugout. Continually talked about being smart and well-prepared. He proved to be the exact opposite of that. Turned out to be one of the worst managers in the history of the team in just 2 years time.
  20. Wow, amazing. JR looks even more like a dinkus after this comment. Pony up Jerry! No one is on your side.
