Please add me to the SoxTalk fantasy list as well. I'm a newbie, but have commished on Yahoo many times, so if you need any extra, I can help out. I'd like to be in a daily, live draft, very active group, if possible...

As an out of towner, I listen to them on the internet every day. I also listen to a lot of other games while I'm at work and I think they're probably the best announcers out there. Very insightful, always on top of the game and they don't say stupid crap that no one cares about...

I'm glad to see Carl going out and making an immediate impact on the team. If he can continue this, without getting injured like he has most of the year, I think this trade will be great. I guess I was just concerned to see us giving up "potential" for a doubtful "now" considering Carl's track record this year. It all remains to be seen if we overpaid, and I probably shouldn't have judged too early. I like Carl and respect what he did for us last year. Lets hope he keeps it up...

From Yahoo: You could probably argue that Kenny didn't overpay for Garcia, but I think this trade for Everett follows in the long, painful tradition of Kip Wells et al. Yes, we needed someone to replace Frank, but why does it always appear that we're the DESPERATE team trading away a lot to get ANYTHING? Montreal was trying to dump salary... I'm sure had Kenny stuck to his guns he could've gotten away with just trading away much less... I dunno. I don't like this trade at all - I like having Everett but I don't think Kenny has the bargaining skills necessary for his job.

Might be nice if they stopped swinging at EVERY pitch...

I was at a game a few years ago where CLee had to pee and ran off the field in between pitches to go take care of business. Was hilarious.... Perhaps Paulie could do a similar thing with an oxygen tank?

Did you notice on the first pick the Sox were AWOL for a while. The announcer just kept saying "White Sox?....White Sox?" It was almost as if their first choice had been taken and they were flustered or something...

Isn't the Beaver County Times Anna Benson's personal publication? Certainly looked like it on her website...

So, overall, how do we rate the draft? Seems like we picked up a whole bunch of pitchers - some quite promising, some less. I would've liked to have seen a first baseman somewhere...

I live in Boston and I can tell you, quite honestly, that there's nothing else to do in this village except to sit in front of your computer and vote for Red Sox players. Hence, the overload of Red Sox chumps on the All Star team - I still can't believe Damon took Maggs' place last year. The All-Star game is a joke....

The thing that pisses me off is that Nomah is ranked first in SS All-Star voting. Is anyone watching baseball or do they just look at the name? F*CKIN' RETAHDED!

Say what you will about "Manos", but it seems every time he makes an error, or strikes out 3 times in one night, he seems to make up for it with a big play. Nice job Jose!
