What you've said is pot on. People worry about our tough schedule to end the season, but we have a 17 game stretch now where we can lock up a spot before then. Many of the other teams chasing us have tough schedules and poor records already. The Orioles and Jays will beat up on each other and lose games to the Yankees, Braves, and Rays down the line. I'd like to see us finish second and as the 4 seed. Catching Minny may not happen this year, but second place and a solid chance to get to the real playoffs would be huge for this team. Many folks questioned the validity of this season's playoffs, but from the looks of it, I think the playoff teams will be deserved and the cream has risen towards the top.

The Sox are keeping Ricky and they want Stone to stop railing them.

This weekend we played the Cubs and Cleveland played Detroit and we gained a game on them.

We can't look at it like that. Baseball is a funny sport and we aren't the Dodgers or Yankees where wins should be a certainty against bad teams. Hell, Minnesota got swept by the Royals and Cleveland lost a series to Detroit. So you are right, that if we start 2 and 0 we should want better than 6 and 4, but it is not a certainty as we could lose two to Minnesta and 1 each to KC and Pitt.

This should be obvious to fans. However, I'm not sure Ricky and Kenny are doing the in game stuff.

8-4 puts us at 25-16. I would be pleased with that result.

That is because of the dumb rule that 2nd place finishers get seeds 4 through 6. 2nd place finishers can make the playoffs this year, but that should be their only reward. After the division winners, seeds should be based on record. If they were, the races for home field would be a lot more fun to watch.

I'm pretty sure the Sox medical staff has looked Moncada over several times. Ricky made that statement because Moncada is going through soft tissue soreness and aches. Some people can handle it more than others.

I love for this year especially, it gives us a free playoff run. When we become division favorites it can go back to the old way.

The Rangers should give us Lynn retroactively in addition to Mazara.

Mazara isn't McCann. More often then not for us, those types of players flame out when they arrive. McCann is one of the exceptions.
