  1. By team I meant the front office. The players weren't good enough to win, although they tried. They wouldn't hold a meeting because they expected to lose. This team expects to win, hence the frustration.
  2. Our offense seems to be on to something. Wr have a day off tomorrow and could play 3 games against a rusty and depleted team. Give me the 3 games.
  3. If that series can't happen the Cards are toast.
  4. Detroit is about to be out. 3 vs Cleveland 4 vs White Sox 3 vs Cleveland 3 vs Cubs 4 vs Twins
  5. McCann won't be back. We will keep EE to DH and when Vaughn is brought up next July, EE will backup Abreu and Vaughn. Collins will probably just be the backup Catcher.
  6. Making it public adds accountability for our players, especially DK since he called people out. Also RR has been here for the rebuild and tanking. When would players have called each other out knowing the team wants to lose on purpose?
  7. Those winning percentages look suspect. For instance, I think the Mets percentage is .483.
  8. Kopech is giving me Derrick Rose vibes. He needs to bounce back from this injury and not let it consume him.
  9. DK is doing our manager's job. Renteria was great for the rebuild but he is not a championship caliber manager. I don't like to nitpick everything a manager does, but there are too many mistakes he makes that the average fan wouldn't. He seems to be here because he is a friend for the players and someone who makes them feel comfortable with US baseball. That's fine, but someone needs to tell this man how to correctly do his job if the plan is to keep him.
  10. True but a team with Robert, Yo, Abreu, Yaz, and Eloy shouldn't be getting shutdown every night. Especially when you factor inMcCann, Engel, Mendick, and Garcia providing solid offense in spurts. No excuses.
  11. For what seems like two straight weeks, I am tipping my cap to the opposing starter.
  12. Sadly that is the point of the shift.
  13. Not to mention our guys go through this every year. Rodon is always hurt. Kopech has only pitched in a few games in three seasons. Anderson, Eloy, and Moncada get nagging injuries. Healthy or not, Lopez is more miss than hit. These things need to be accounted for in any season as they are likely ro happen to everyone.
  14. As you put it, how horrible the Tigers will end up is irrelevant. This is a small sample size series and they have been playing well. In fact, they may feel disappointed if they lose to us. Respect is earned, and so far, they have more of it. This is a good time to show MLB we have in fact arrived.
  15. We really need to pick things up. We have guys out but that is no excuse as everyone else does as well. We have enough quality hitters in our lineup where we should be putting up a better fight. We are 8 and 8 and the feel out games are over. Let's start playing AND coaching with urgency. And most importantly, let's get a god (d) (m) effing win!
  16. This was obvious before the game started. We were getting shut down by any starter with a pulse.
  17. I have my blue father's day hat ready to go for tomorrow's hat tip to the opposing starter.
  18. And yet again I will have to tip my cap to an opposing starter.
  19. Yeah the I dians have five starters that are good. I still want to know when we can expect them and the Twins to drop off.
  20. When I saw Renteria opted, I hoped the next word was out.
  21. Fortunately for us, all the other teams have injuries too.
  22. Once again, I hope that I don't have to tip my hat to the opposing starter. I think I've suffered a thumb sprain from all the tipping this year.
