  1. The Sox wouldn't be done spending on major FA's if something went wrong with EE.
  2. For my fellow Sox fans who like seeing scary things, check out the 2019 White Sox baseball reference page with all of the player's stats. I'm gonna have nightmares for a week.
  3. Looks like her hit 13 of his 38 bombs against them. But truth be told I don't think that should hurt him. Every team gets to play against scrubs at some point.
  4. Tatis would have made it if he finished the year. Gleybar should have made it.
  5. Ironically I forgot to mention that ESPN has Giolito having the most wins over this decade with 152.
  6. Since we are relevant again, I think it would be nice to have a thread where we can keep track of things like, World Series odds, power rankings, and what the pundits/other fanbases, and twitter is saying about us. This type of news is tough to follow and discuss when spread around multiple threads. I'll start with ESPN having a nice article about what to expect in the 20's. Here are a few things to note for the Sox. 1. We are predicted to have the best season of the decade, winning 112 games in 2023. The Cubs are predicted to have the worst season. 2. We are a high riser with the Padres, while the Indians and Cubs are fallers. 3. This is expected to be our best decade ever. 4. We will take over the city once more. 5. Luis Robert will beat out Nick Madrigal for MVP, even with Magical batting .364. 6. Magical and Robert will be the best defensive players at their position this decade. 7. Our infield will be the best of this decade. 8. We will have the best offensive season of the decade in 2023. And my favorite 9. Michael Kopech will be the best pitcher in baseball for 2025 and 2026. Hopefully it will be with us.
  7. It is imperative that we compete in 2020 and 2021 to get our guys experience playing in big games. I don't want to half competing and think we should sign a RF if a deal is favorable for us and bring in another reliever. Who is to say we couldn't pull a 2015 Cubs with our division trending down?
  8. I think it is true unless something unforeseen happens. Like Nick Castellanos and Marcel Ozuna see severe reductions in money and years.
  9. He said "A source indicates this is likely the White Sox’s last major move of an offseason that was as productive, active and aggressive as any team in the league."
  10. He could just use the pitcher in the game already to dish out an intentional walk. But I don't forsee an issue running out of guys. Especially with the new rule.
  11. It's the delivery. I hated him on the Cubs and swore up and down to DaughterofaRoache his delivery motion should be banned. Now that he is here, I love him and that delivery.
  12. This is very true. I also like that we have more options once Rodon and Kopech return.
  13. The Sox checked in at 17 in the new power rankings at MLB. Cubs were 12th, and the Twins were 4th.
  14. People forget that the Cubs have completed a very successful 5 year run. They could very well win that division the next two years making it a seven year run. The last two years have been down for them but they tied for the division two years ago and choked this past year. I am excited to see what this Sox roster comes to, but we haven't done squat yet.
  15. As of there was any doubt with all the talking he's been doing. Great for the Sox as he is a good one.
  16. We got a year and a half and then he gone. I would put him in the bullpen and see if he can be a bullpen ace. He will be pissed because he won't get a chance at that big deal, but whatever.
  17. Basically, I was saying it was an incident that he probably is being blamed for, if they are taking back all that cash.
  18. It wasnt simply stepping in a hole. The incident involved a wild animal, which was the problem.
  19. I'm good. I don't want talented players on their roster. They already have enough of them.
  20. Not worth it for one extra year, unless Hahnny thinks he will be an elite player worthy of a 200m deal.
  21. If McCann hits well this year, he will see a significant amount of time at C/1B/DH. It will ultimately be up to him.
  22. He's getting paid 5 million dollars. I'm pretty sure he is gonna do his job correctly to avoid any issues finding a new deal. I agree he may not be thrilled about it, but he is a guy who many teams will try to replace with better options if they can.
  23. He's not staying past this year even if he was happy. He is unhappy because his market value is suffering while being a bench player. I wouldn't trade him, unless it was an offer I couldn't refuse. If something happens to Grandal, you need a reliable guy there. Collins probably won't be ready to handle backup duties for another year.
