This is just not true about venting. When the Sox are in on good players people are happy and excited. The last 7 years and FA letdowns create the negativity and doubt. I'm sure this board would be different had we signed Wheeler and Ozuna/Castellanos.

Best believe part of the reason for extending Abreu was to use him as an excuse. Sign a bunch of low year guys to 50 and 70 million and say that was the money being spent. We are dumb enough to believe that had we signed Machado, they still wouldn't have spent money to improve the team this year.

Well that's the only way they are getting Vaughn and Magical AND us to eat Price's salary.

Why don't we eat the cash and keep the prospects? If they want Magical and Vaughn then they need to extend Mookie and include him and major cash.
