I think we need to make Jose a lifer. I know he isn't worth the money, but he is a great leader and our guys love him to death. He helps players transition to this country and MLB. My preference is elite Yoan at second, elite Rendon at third, and trade Madrigal in a package for a TOR arm on a non contending team that is selling. Even if Madrigal is an all star, we won't feel bad having Moncada, Rendon, and a TOR arm.

He may mean putting him at second makes him elite and then sign another 3B like Rendon.

This is why I keep saying we need to have some semblance of success this season. This off-season will be big for us and we want FA's to see that our guys have true potential, and aren't simply raw guys.

The draft position stuff needs to end. We need to shoot for 80 wins this year and 90 next year.

More AAA time wouldn't help Eloy's defense or offense. It's okay to take lumps up here. I just don't see how Robert gets much better being down there. This season is a dead end so him sucking at first is fine. He'd be better able to help us in our first go for it year in 2020.

It's frustrating waiting on a rebuild to end but there is hope. Early last year I feared Gio, Moncada, and Anderson might be busts. Not necessarily bad, just not coming close to reaching their potential. Those three being good players is huge for this rebuild. Now we have to hope that wave of Eloy, Kopech, Cease, Robert, Magdrical and Collins can produce some big talent. We still need to ditch Ricky though. He may be a great guy but I don't trust him in big games and neither did the Cubs.

Yep, 2020 is a nice year to have people up with key free agent signings. Minnesota won't be this good next year as the baseball gods even things out. We can grab this division by the balls and make a sneak run at it in 2020. We have at least seven years to contend beginning next year so let's make it count. We are probably gonna let Rodon go and give his money to Gio. Manny Machados money can go to Yoan if he has another few good years. Abreu's and Alonso's money can go to JD Martinez. Jon Jay's, Herrera's, and Nova's money can go to Ozuna.

We did the right thing with Eloy and he is still struggling a bit to find his way. I wouldn't mind an early call up for Luis to give him more time to adjust at this level. He's not going to get much better in the minors since he has already played professionally before.
