  1. Dodgers getting in would really screw the Phillies like the Padres screwed us.
  2. When Moose didnt sign with SD. He was rumored to be a priority there. When he went back to the Brewers, that said a lot. Then Moncada moved to third.
  3. People just dont like the truth as you told it. Moose signs, Yoan moves to third.....
  4. I never said it wasn't. Talk is different than happened. There was talk about signing a premium free agent. There was talk about not signing stop gaps. There was no definitive Moncada to third talk from the team. In the posted Hahn interview he never mentioned a position or used anything close to assurances.
  5. Not saying it wasn't in the works because Nick is coming up. I'm saying the timing of it was no coincidence. He moved to third 12 hours prior to Manny's signing being official. This announcement could have been official a week prior.
  6. It's conceivable, play him elsewhere, if we made the decision as an organization, above average defense at other positions, etc. Nothing said about playing third base. We know that it was a possibility because of NM coming up. The point is, it wasn't set in stone third base until the day before Manny signed. Looks to me like they were holding off moving him to third until Manny signed.
  7. Nothing from the team or its mouth pieces. It was more fan speculation than anything.
  8. Except not a word of this was reported prior to the day before Manny signed. Something this major would have leaked if it were in the works.
  9. Then why did we move Moncada to third the day before the announcement came?
  10. I believe you are legit, but I don't think Kenny was being honest. The fact that we moved Yoan to third the day before the signing tells me they knew their offer wouldn't get it done.
  11. The Sunshiners are really triggered tonight. They must have a group chat going that keeps them triggered.
  12. I don't want fans riding with us who won't complain or call it as it is. Not saying you are doing that, but we need to be hard on this team. We've let things slide for way too long.
  13. 2006 was rough, but 2008 we made it in a down year of 88 wins. The team has good runs every 5 to 8 years but can't seem to sustain things. We also have to factor in choking. We tried to choke a 15 game lead in 2005, choked in 2006, and a few more times.
  14. You all better be careful. AustinIllini is triggered and is gonna accuse you of having depression and PTSD.
  15. I'll be in Austin in three weeks. Let's settle this then, since you are triggered and want to disrespect me. And please find all these PTSD posts you speak of and compare them to everyone else. I'll wait Fuck boy.
  16. Bingo. We didn't want to go over 250, no way we get to 325. And if we are out/Nats are out and the Padres aren't all that interested, then who is left? The Giants and Phillies. If both say we will pay you 275 then what can Boras do other than pick one?
  17. I dont are anyone going crazy, so there is no issue with people controlling emotions. Your post insinuates that people shouldn't be emotionally involved with the team as there are real life things to worry about. And yes, it does good to complain. If it didn't, Hahn wouldn't be on a damage control tour. Sox fans have never tried to embarrass the org, we just don't go to the games. Now that money is going into their pockets no matter what, not attending games doesn't work. The White Sox did the rebuild in the first place because the fans wanted it. They've changed how they've operated because the fans wanted it. Now we just need them to spend on quality and not quantity.
  18. That's because they make money whether we show up or not. This is why I think we as fans need to embarrass them at games, at conventions, on Twitter, in the news, etc. It is working big time right now. Chuck Garfein who is a Sox mouthpiece wrote about how angry we are and tried to calm us down. Laurence Holmes told Hahn Sox fans are pissed and how many have voiced their anger on radio and Twitter. National outlets are writing stories. The Padres front office threw shade at our FO. We just have to keep it up until they put a winner on the field.
  19. With all due respect, you have nearly 10k posts in 5 years on a Sox message board. You are emotionally invested whether you see it or not. I invest heavily financially in this team for myself and my family. They ask for my money and my emotional support nearly every day. So, when they don't hold their end of the bargain, I will hold them personally accountable. Of course we all know they fail in FA, but they damn near promised us things are different now. Hahn specifically asked for our trust again and it backfired.
  20. Cubs fans got pissed and look what happened. They brought in Theo and have a great team for a decade. Owners listen when fans get angry and hurt their bottom line and reputation. Owners don't listen when fans are quiet and passive.
  21. Well, that's why we get treated like this. We need to take it personal and not just shrug it off. Accountability is necessary in sports to keep owners trying to win.
  22. I think he means it's only so much pissed we have left in us.
  23. This is why I say we need to embarrass them. Something like a staged walkout gets national headlines and the negative spotlight on them. They may not care about financial losses but these arrogant broom stick sitters have pride.
