I hope you're right and that these guys can get back to form quick. Our pitching for sure can career us, especially if Hahn goes and gets Paul Fry. There is no reason we haven't gotten him yet.
You think that about this season? I think we have a shot to win it all, but we are asking a lot of our guys to come back from big injuries and light it up.
Most of the teams in baseball and fan bases. Who really cares about what the Twins have accomplished in the last 20 years around the MLB? They Bomba squad was fun to watch hit and the Piranhas were a pain, but no one talks about or cares about either of those teams.
I don't know about this. If we play the Dodgers in the WS what advantage do we have over them if they get Max and Trea? Do you see us hitting DeGrom, Walker, and Stroman well? Would we even hit Milwaukee's pitching? Next year if a different animal but this season it's hard to envision that with the amount of rust and young guys we have finding their way.
Just choke in the playoffs for 20 years is not my idea of sustained success. The Rays and A's are both cheap asses and would probably have titles if they weren't cheap asses.
Paul Fry at the very least. I wouldn't mind moving Engel back to a platoon in right or a 4th Ofer. I'm not all too comfortable starting Engel, Goodwin, Billy, or Sheets offensively in the playoffs.
Their bullpen is shit. Starters have been good enough but they need more bullpen help than Hand. Their 7th and 8th inning woes makes our bullpen look amazing.
Our FO needs to understand being arrogant will get you nowhere. These other teams are constantly adding to get better. Getting a guy like Fry shouldn't even be a second thought.
