For anyone that needs a little hope right now remember this. Last year we..... 1. Had EE at DH 2. Mazara in RF 3. Injured Madrigal and clumsy Eloy injuring himself. 4. Terrible and sick Moncada at the plate. 5. Terrible Robert at the plate second half. 6. Only two starting pitchers. 7. Nicky batting cleanup 8. A bad game manager And yet we still were in contention. If we can acquire a CF this season can still be a very good one. Pain is real right now, but if we won last year no reason to think we can't this year.

We don't have much of a choice. Getting a competent OF can save this season.

Eloy will probably be back in August. Bring in a competent centerfielder and try to stay in the playoff hunt til then. Eloy and a competent CF should still be good enough to compete in the AL.

But Cleveland has otherworldly pitching and has owned us relatively speaking. Minnesota is not a pile of garbage and could be back in first place in three weeks.

I get your point but how can Tim stop the offense from giving up? They are not going to give up because they want to succeed. The problem is a lack of power for most of the guys right now and having to hope Yermin and Vaughn can slug.

Great post Ray Ray. TA can't carry this team on the field by himself no matter how hard he tries. We need some skill and power in the outfield. All of our hitters have to be very good now and that is a lot to ask.

It's weird seeing all of these fans saying we can still be division favorites. I want you all to think hard about my next two sentences. There is a chance, maybe a small chance but still a chance, that our entire outfield group doesn't hit a single home run in May. There is a good chance that our outfield group will not hit 3 home runs in the month of May.

Yep. But I think the FO stands pat and use the injury excuse if the season goes south. That may actually be a smart play for them.

But remember the offense was inflated by Yermin and Eaton getting off to hot unexpected starts. We may lose a good bit of that production from them plus Robert who was one of the few hitting well right now. Our offense is still capable but we don't have much more time to waste. TLR has to come with the big boy lineups and the vets need to hit.

If Hahn doesn't make a trade fans will be jumping ship by the thousands.
