I agree. We just need Yermin to have a solid approach at the plate and hit some baseballs hard here and there. He had already taken a month off of Eloy's injury so as long as he can be serviceable we will be fine. If he does fall off completely, hopefully Collins would have figured the bat out.

I read the lineup 1 through 6 and nearly passed out. Then 7 and 8 happened. Hopefully Collins and Garcia can get some nice hits today and give us some solid defense.

Interesting data here. Madrigal will be very good IMO because he doesn't miss the ball. If he adds some pop to get consistent doubles and triples, his numbers will be pretty good. He will always put more balls in play than the average guy. I am concerned about his defense because I was expecting elite at 2nd. He can improve, but it has been disappointing thus far as that was necessary for him to be all star caliber.

Well Milwaukee ain't a tough drive these days even during rush hours. You'll have plenty time to hit the game and head out. And have fun at the wedding (and hopefully game), those moments are extra special after the year plus that we've endured.

My point is we need to let the games be played. We don't have enough consistent data to know where Moncada settles just yet. He hits the ball hard when he swings and plays great defense so my expectation is he settles as a very good player.

What is the current trend? 2019 was spectacular but he has struggled outside of that season. Hopefully this is a step in the process and he can be consistently good for the long haul.

Yep I agree that money would be too much with his health. But man he is relatively close to Mike Trout's zip code when he is right.

You don't think one of these desperate will will pony up if he stays healthy the next two years and is a MVP caliber guy? I can think of a few teams that would take that risk.

He has a little bit of time to stay healthy before he needs a deal. He may not get that 250 to 350 deal but he can still get that short term 125 to 150 deal. Which may still be out of our price range.
