5/22 GT - Sox @ NYY (Double Header)
Green Line replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in 2022 Season in Review
Liam was going to give up a HR if graveman didnt blow it first. Nothing you can do, the Yankees are just lightyears better than the Sox. -

Wow. Turns out Kelly was absolutely the right call. Good thing Sox talk isnt managing the game! -

Kelly is the 7th inning man. This was his inning to finish. -

Josh Donaldson called Tim Anderson "Jackie"
Green Line replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It really doesnt go beyond that. Its trash talk. how big of an ego must you have to compare yourself to Jackie Robinson. Jeez. -

Regardless of the intent, I hope the Sox throw at Donaldson tomorrow. He is truly a prick and nobody deserves it more. -

I thought this was pretty terrible but if TA really said he feels like today’s Jackie Robinson, that puts it in a totally different context. Thats just regular trash talk in this case. -

Settle down Harrison. You can do that when youre not the worst hitter on the team. -

The Yankees are highly overrated and the Sox bats are HOT after yesterday. Easy series W. -
You have to make the playoffs first. Baby steps. Winning the world series is the ultimate goal but Id still rather win the division than nothing. The sox clearly arent on the level on the Yankees.

The meeting with Mendechino worked, offense is back on track. tony’s boys dont quit.

The sox are back. The offense is fixed -
Okay, I feel a lot better now.
-
When Tony calls for them to take, they don't listen. At least last year that resulted in a home run once.
-
I have no clue. Kenny needs to make some calls.. I'll think about it, theres somebody out there.... Joey Votto is set to return to the Red's lineup on Friday. They won't want Gio or Lynn though.
-
No need to white flag it. Retool on the fly... they need to make a big, big trade and shake things up now.
-
They don't need one of Giolito/Lynn, the staff is getting along fine. They NEED a big bat to shake things up, and there are literally no assets left in the farm to get anyone who would make a difference. Kenny needs to go big to save the season, get Hahn out of the way.
-
Trade Lynn or Giolito for a BIG bat. We have a glut of pitching - with Lynn coming back we can afford to ship somebody away.
-
No. Not until June at least. They're 1 game under .500.
-
And bring up whom to replace him? These are the worst relievers in the Sox pen - they're SUPPOSED to be bad. Its just that when literally every game is this tight, you have to pitch them eventually.
-
5 more runs for these guys is like 3 games worth of offense in 1 inning. Can't be done.
