  1. No, thats false. Everybody thought Eaton had a problem with it based on a video of them having what appeared to be a heated conversation. The TLR stuff didn't start coming out until well after the game was over.
  2. I don't think he should have called him out. I'm just stating facts. I think everyone needs to get over it, Tony first and foremost.
  3. He only said something because he was asked. Its not like he called the press together to make a statement about this. It all started because a rumor started going around (obviously leaked from someone in the Sox org) that LaRussa wasn't happy with the swing. If that hadn't happened we would have never known about any of this and certainly the media wouldn't have asked LaRussa about it.
  4. I read the whole article looking for a quote supporting this headline, or even an anonymous source. Nope, nothing. Just a BS clickbait article.
  5. Im so tired I have to go to sleep now ill read in the morning
  6. Take on 3-0 and then hit a homer on 3-1, yeah. And him hitting the homer on 3-0 isn’t even the problem here. The problem is Tony not being able to get mad about it. Yermin did something that you typically dont do, and he might have had to get thrown at to atone for it. Im fine with that and we could move on.
  7. No... not your point. Although Ill admit its getting confusing because the other dude is arguing that throwing at hitters is somehow turning people off of baseball. We’ll just have to disagree my friend.
  8. Now Im really not sure what you’re saying. The players are sick of the unwritten rules and want to have fun, but also its the players enforcing said rules and throwing at players who break them? Did Tony makes the Twins throw at Mercedes? I dont think Yermin really cares much if he gets thrown at, tbh. And that certainly does not turn people off from the game, far from it. Actually, things like that actually draw more views and chatter for better or worse. A benches clearing brawl would actually have the fans more interested than ever.
  9. I didnt say “Not Showing people up” so I dont know why that is in quotes. Maybe you meant to respond to someone else. But to the point, showing someone up has nothing to do with being a snowflake. Its purely about respect my friend. Change in baseball can be bad or good. Im all for change when I think the change is for the better. Do I think all the recent changes have been for the better? NO. Thats the end of the story.
  10. My point was that I don't work for the MLB so I'm not concerned if the unwritten rules look "cool" or not to the next generation. Baseball might go the way of Blockbuster for all I know, hell. I don't think that bat flips and 3-0 home runs are going to be the thing that saves it in that case. If you do, good luck with that.
  11. Nobody thinks that its the 90s anymore.. I'm certainly not stuck in a time warp. Baseball changes like all things do. Sportsmanship doesn't change all that much though. And if you ignore a sign from your coach, you might have to deal with a consequence or two. These seem to be novel concepts to many though. Maybe it reflects society as a whole.
  12. A lot of people on here seem very insecure about the popularity of baseball and desperate to attract new fans, for whatever reason. Guess what? Baseball is going to be around after we're all dead regardless. I don't care if it doesn't look cool to Generation Z. I like baseball for what it is and aren't desperate to change every single damn thing about it because "muh unwritten rules are lame" or whatever the issue is. Let Tony and those that agree have their opinion, and you can have yours. Stop jumping all over everybody that actually doesn't think baseball in the 70's, 80's, and 90's was shit. I hope none of you ever wear a throwback jersey or a throwback cap either. Those are from the bad times where baseball was lame and boring.
  13. Thank you. Everybody here loves Mercedes because he’s had a great 2 months. TLR has had a great 4 decades. I guess he’s just supposed to shut his old man trap if he sees something he disagrees with though. Its fine if you want to make baseball more popular and start new traditions, but a lot of you just basically have the attitude of “Fuck everything about the MLB before 2018. It was old and boring and terrible.” I guess thats going to bring in new fans?
  14. No. He's been with the team this whole time. When he's cleared to play he will go down to the minors for a rehab assignment first.
  15. Thats so cool, I love it! I am looking for TLR in the photo but don't see him, sad.
  16. They wouldn't have got the run in without that bunt, especially with the way that the rest of the team was hitting today. No run there means extra inning game for the Sox at best. It was absolutely the right call.
  17. Thats basically how I feel. I wish everyone would move on now. This is just embarrassing for 1st place team to be having a sideshow like this.
  18. I don't want to see Liam in the 9th. He sucks. This is what they're paying him to do though, so I'm sure he will be out there. Buckle up
  19. Just send him out for another inning. The bullpen is bad they will blow it
  20. The White Sox are a south side team. If they move to Arlington Heights they might as well just move to Montreal, not going up there. Bye Bye.
  21. Its going to be another short outing for Giolito, sigh.
  22. Tony needs to shut up. He was in the right initially, now he just sounds like a jackass. The point was made and he should have stood up for his player being thrown at. Inexcuseable.
