    My dad got discharged from the Army post WW2, and for whatever reason he chose Elmhurst College (he wasnt from this area) of course the Sox were the popular team back then so he jumped on the band wagon and naturally raised me to be a Sox fan.

    Wasn't the issue with the ill-conceived sports vision was that most Chicagoland was not hooked up with cable then? So the White Sox basically disappeared

    Ive heard from his Lockport neighboors he's not a well liked guy but when the SOx banned him from the clubhouse, well once again proof this entire organization is a PR gaffe
