  1. Miller just got hurt for OSU, if he can't come back then suddenly NU has life because Bauserman is an absolute joke.
  2. QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 8, 2011 -> 09:20 PM) Has Nebraska ever had a good defense under Bo? I cant even find an adjective to describe how bad's Miami defense is and they atleast looked good against OSU. Their defenses have been great the last two years. Two years ago I believe they had the #1 ranked defense in the country. Of course it helps when you have Suh, Amukamara, etc. on your roster.
  3. LOL at Nebraska. I thought they were supposed to have a good defense coming into this year. That defense is trash.
  4. Hitting Alex Rodriguez cleanup that entire season when he had barely played the last month and clearly was overmatched was just awful managing.
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 10:35 PM) Cowley on Ventura... and how Cooper became Judas. Could Cowley be any more of a joke?
  6. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) Yeah when Northwestern can shutdown the run option I think that shows it isn't legit unless you have first round talent at RB position(Rashard Mendenhall). Um...Illinois has been running a ton of option since Zook got to Illinois and we have led the Big 10 in rushing over the last 3 years. The read option is very effective in the Big 10. Michigan scored a ton of points last year running the option. You just have to have the threat of throwing as well.
  7. Absolutely incredible comeback. Illinois should have started throwing the ball a lot earlier. NW was selling out on the run the entire game after being embarrassed last year and leaving themselves open to the pass. So instead their defense got embarrassed by giving up an Illinois receiving yards record this year.
  8. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) Hopefully 2 things come from this game, Illini start playing offense in first half and Ford gets less playing time. Ford shouldn't see the field again. He is terrible. Time to start the Donovonn Young era and then give the other carries to Pollard and Ferguson.
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 12:31 PM) Pretty awesome nut-shot by Brown. I can't believe he didn't get booted. I'll be disappointed if he isn't benched for the 2nd half and suspended for the game next week.
  10. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) Ford looks fat and slow, I'm not sure he shouldn't just be a fb. Young and Pollard should be getting all the carries. Ford is terrible.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 27, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) HIMYM was actually solid last night. There has already been more good HIMYM episodes this year than all of last year already.
  12. Typical Ron Zook team not ready to play the week after a big win. Not to mention horrible special teams which is the only unit he coaches these days.
  13. I'm so happy we waited until the end of August to call him up.
  14. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 10:01 AM) Oney is just being Oney. I don't think it's any reason for us to pound on the kid. It absolutely is a reason to rip on him.
  15. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 06:05 PM) You are right of course. I am just surprised he would stoop to that level. Why would you be surprised that a Guillen would be completely classless and juvenile? That is the only way they ever act.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 05:00 PM) Ochocinco is not a problem child. He's a big personality, but he doesn't get in trouble. That's such a bad misconception. Agreed. Ochocinco is going to love it in New England because he is going to win and Brady is going to get him the ball a lot. If one of those trades backfires at all it will be the Haynesworth one but they gave up so little in both deals that they were both clearly worth the risk.
  17. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 11, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) To hear his players say they lost faith in him as the manager That is utterly ridiculous. By that standard basically no coaches or managers would ever be fired.
  18. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 11, 2011 -> 12:08 PM) Not sure about Madden (the only thing I can find on a quick scan is dynamic player ratings), but NCAA has a few tweaks (keep in mind this is all from what I've read). One is that they added more customized traditions to the game, stuff like Chief Osceola throwing his spear in the turf and Mike the Tiger sitting there on the sidelines. Another is that they seem to have added a ton of customization to the dynasty mode. You can customize the conferences (number of teams, divisions, bowl tie-ins, ect) and they added a coaching carousel feature that lets you play as just a coordinator. Besides just recruiting, you can also sim games against the CPU and advance the week in online dynasties now. The Road to Glory mode is also supposedly beefier. I never really played it in the past, but supposedly you start in high school now and build your reputation. As for gameplay, supposedly the defensive AI is a bit better and receivers actually drop balls instead of snaring everything in their zip code. The reviews seem to say that it's mostly the same experience though. The one thing that changes things greatly is you can build a completely customized playbook. Have you read anything regarding how time consuming and in depth recruiting is in this game? I have always enjoyed the recruiting aspect of these games but in the last couple it has almost been too time consuming during the season.
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 02:04 PM) Man, Yao was awesome. Sad his body couldn't handle it. Right now though, the Center position IS Dwight, followed by Horford, who would be joined by Bynum/Bogut/Noah if that trio could stay healty. Meanwhile, Rome Wasn't Built in One Day was genius by Steve Porter. The center position is brutal right now. Out of the 5 guys you listed you have one superstar, a PF being forced to play C, 2 guys who are never healthy and a guy with no offensive game at all.
