  1. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:23 PM) He is flushed forward and is trying to make a play. If he threw the ball away every single time he got pressured and flushed then we would have nothing at all. This line sucks and Martz needs to go to max protect. I Or go 5 wide and throw quick passes like they did against the Cowboys.
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) Jay, the O line sucks, you need to get rid of the ball more quickly...do we have any 3 step drop plays?WTF He does but it was 3rd and 19 on that last play and it takes time for routes to develop.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) #86 might be the worst FA signing in Chicago sports history. JAIME.NAVARRO
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 3, 2010 -> 08:02 PM) Ugh, Cutler in primetime is just a recipe for disaster. He just played fine in primetime 6 days ago. But yes he has been awful so far tonight as has been the entire offense really.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 10:26 PM) wait, what the USC just called back to back timeouts.. I thought you couldn't do that? Also why are college coaches f***ing morons when it comes to clock management? How the hell do you not use your timeouts if you are Kiffin to get the ball back with some time?
  6. QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) Man, Oregon is just filthy on offense Its like watching someone play the AI in NCAA 11 on freshman.
  7. I doubt it would matter because their offense has looked like crap this year, but how does PSU not go for it on 4th and 6 when you are down 14 with under 5 minutes to go? You play to win the game.
  8. QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 05:54 PM) Miles cost LSU that game at Arkansas last year at the last second and should have lost today. The Jefferson era looks to be down in Baton Rouge. Lee didn't look good either though but at least he can sort of get the ball to those awesome receivers.
  9. Les Miles is also the luckiest coach in America and there isn't a close 2nd.
  10. Les Miles is the worst coach in America and there isn't a close 2nd.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) At least we got 7 on them. When I was a sophomore they hung a 59-0 shutout on us. Michigan's defense is horrendous but wow are they explosive on offense.
  12. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) I hate it when announcers call a competitive game with a close finish great just because of the finish. Northwestern-Minnesota was a terribly played game with loads of penalties and turnovers from NU. I wish announcers would comment on poor play instead of just getting excited over a good finish. Agreed. That was particularly common during the NCAA tourney this year which had a lot of close but horribly played basketball games.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) Exactly the game I expected, Illinois/OSU is always a game like that. And f***ing Tressel drives me nuts, he packs it in and runs the ball with his two best RB's on the bench. Saine and Herron have no business being the starting RBs for OSU. They wouldn't start for half the teams in the Big 10.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 01:53 PM) Too bad Illinois missed that FG early in the game. I still don't understand kicking the fg down 7 with that little time left when your offense is struggling. You have to go for the TD and the tie late in the game.
  15. There was definitely a push on that play if you go back and watch the replay.
  16. It is still incredible to me how conservative Jim Tressel is. The guy can obviously coach but he would drive me nuts if I was a fan of OSU. Especially since Saine and Herron just aren't very good RBs.
  17. He definitely didn't pick up that first down. That was a ridiculous spot. And a bulls*** call even after review.
  18. Wow f***ing terrible call. Have to love getting called for a facemask when your defensive player never touches the OSU players facemask.
  19. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) How is OSU's back-up a former walk-on? They don't have better options? Thats pretty bad. I would guess they have had trouble recruiting a top QB the last couple of years because no one wanted to come in and sit behind Pryor.
  20. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Oct 2, 2010 -> 12:52 PM) But I forgot Illinois' offense looks anemic today. OSU defense has a lot to do with that. They have been dominant this year. TRULON HENRY HELL YES@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INT Illinois
  21. Really solid first half for Illinois. Vic Koenning has been an absolutely incredible hire for Illinois. The defensive turnaround from last year is simply amazing.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 11:55 AM) 2 4 stars in 2012 No room in 2011 2 4 stars in 2010 1 4 and 1 3 star in 2009 ( the 3 star being Jordan Hall who has looked ridiculous) Easily the best stable of backs I've seen at OSU in years. They are redshirting Rod Smith this year and he could be the next big back for OSU, of course he has to outplay Jaamal Berry who is absolutely ridiculous as a RS frosh this season. Add to that the two already 4 star guys they have for 2012 and its a very good crop. Of course you then add to that the #1 QB for 2011 and like you said top OL recruits and its going to be another good run. Probably too early to say but are any of those guys likely to be impact guys like Clarett or Wells? Because while Saine and Herron aren't bad players they seem to be the only thing holding back OSU from being absolutely unstoppable this year.
