  1. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:57 AM) It depends a lot on whether TT wants a pick and roll type of offense, or whether he wants more of a low post guy to go through with outside shooters on the perimeter. I think you make a good argument for Lee over Boozer though, but you never know how Lee is going to play in a different system, which is the risk. Boozer has been running the pick and roll as much as any big man in the NBA the last few years so Boozer could play in either system with ease. My problem with Boozer is that he is one of the worst low post defenders I've seen and he has a really hard time finishing against big men with length. He missed some incredibly easy shots against the Lakers because of his lack of length and athleticism. He has also missed 30+ games 3 of the last 6 years and he is turning 29 so he will almost certainly be on a major decline by the end of the contract he signs.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) Seriously, with the overreactions. The Bulls were the 5th seed and a possible 50 win team last year before Noah and Rose got banged up towards the end of the season. If you add Boozer alone, we're a 50 win team. With no real chance to win an NBA title though. How would that roster really be a whole lot different than say the Atlanta Hawks in terms of talent?
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:41 AM) AdamZagoria "I'm a winner. Dwyane's a winner and we're gonna bring winning to Miami." -- CBosh Chris, you are f***ing over 100 games under .500 on your career. I'm actually pretty glad we didn't get this turd. Give me Boozer and a solid SG and we'll see what happens. Yeah this isn't sour grapes at all. Bosh isn't a superstar but he is still a top 10 player in the NBA and is clearly a vastly superior player to Boozer. Hell ,Kobe was 10 games under .500 in the three years between Shaq leaving LA and Gasol arriving in LA.
  4. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 02:47 PM) Apparently he could officially be on his way to Iowa State very soon. The Mayor isn't f***ing around. Yeah only to be kicked out of school within months for doing something else ridiculously stupid.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 10:28 AM) Yeah, maybe my expectations were high, and thus it didn't live up to them... The twist was cool, but I still felt like it needed a little extra something... I thought the twist was among the most ridiculous things I have ever seen in a movie and the plot was laughable.
  6. Ridiculous that you give Marmol that 2-0 pitch with his control problems completely changed the at bat.
  7. QUOTE (SuperSteve @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 11:08 AM) I am genuinely afraid his act will get old if he comes here. He can only become more and more of a diva than he is now if he wins a few titles. I'm torn, the player versus the person. I would prefer he would show us he is a winner than showing us he wants to be treated like a seventeen year old girl on prom night (I know the what would I do response, I would not even mess with all this, collude with Bosh and Wade and go be the best player on the best team). LeBron has already taken a garbage supporting cast to an NBA finals single handed. The guy can win and has won, if he had Kobe's supporting cast he would have won at least the last two titles easily.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) But I do have to say, if we do get Bosh and LeBron, Deng is almost dead weight . I'd rather have Hinrich. Not really, you just play James at the SG position. It isn't like Hinrich is a lights out shooter who really stretches out the floor that would be a perfect fit for those guys.
  9. LOL at Zambrano. What a clusterf*** that situation has been for the Cubs this year.
  10. Peavy is filthy, nice to finally have all the starters pitching the way they were expected to coming into the year.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) Deng is a bum. No amount of PER will convince me otherwise. My EYES tell me what's up. Yep, 18 pts and 7 boards while being a more efficient scorer than Hinrich and he is the bum. Way to back up your argument though.
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) You are so clueless. Deng might be more talented, but Kirk brings more depth to the team and more value in terms of production on the court, reliability, and overall game. Their value is close, but Kirk has more value, and that's why the Bulls were able to find a taker for him and not for Deng. On what planet does Hinrich give more production on the court than Deng? They were able to find a taker for him because he is making less money and is signed for less years. Luol Deng PER last year was 16.1 (league average is 15) Hinrich's was 11.6, TS% was .531 Hinrich's was .501, Deng has higher rebounding rates, a lower turnover percentage and a higher usage rate than Hinrich. He has also had a higher number of win shares each of the last 4 years. The only area where Hinrich trumps Deng is in assist rate. You can look at basically any statistical analysis or just watch the Bulls play and it is clear Deng is the better player. http://www.82games.com/0910/0910CHI.HTM
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 01:59 PM) If WWW really said those things...then holy ****. That makes me far less sad about Kirk (still miffed And I didn't mean the 5yr/55M contracts Deng & Ben were offered. I meant the 6yr/71M Deng contract that ultimately drove BG out of town and now Kirk. And trust me, I have never liked Deng, even when everyone said he was going to be an All-Star. Luol Deng is better than Hinrich and it isn't particularly close. If you are going to keep one of those two and still be able to sign guys like James and Bosh you get rid of Hinrich every time.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) Yeah, I agree. It all seems a bit easy, doesn't it? I feel almost like we are being used as a pawn here to lure in a bigger fish.... Maybe but LeBron and Bosh have all the leverage in this situation and don't need to use any teams as pawns to get what they want.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:11 PM) Ok. A guy who shoots 41% on the floor on mostly open jump shots is not a good shooter and while Hinrich tries hard and is a good defender he is far from a lock down defender and that is what it takes for me to consider someone great on that end of the floor.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) Yes he will. Team leader, great defense, versatile, good shooter. Ya, he was inconsistent and overpaid. But at 4 or 5 millions we'd love him, but at 9+, we didn't. He is not a great defender and he is an average shooter at best by NBA standards.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:13 PM) Basically, you sign Lebron and any of the other top 5 or so guys, whichever position you still have to fill, you can move Deng to try to fill it, and use the MLE as well. And between Rose, Lebron, and whoever you sign, you're not likely to need a lot of scoring, so whichever position you still need to fill, you can look for a defensive stopper. The only thing you would really need if you get Lebron and Bosh is a SG who can knock down open jump shots. Rose/Lebron/Bosh/Noah is the best nucleus in the league and it isn't close. Worry about the rest later.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 07:57 AM) Green Hornet comes out in January? Hope it is good but that can't be a good sign. Should be a summer movie. They recently moved it from December to January and then they decided at the last minute to do 3D conversion. It is going to suck and it looks awful. Plus, Rogen just has no acting talent whatsoever.
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 23, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) Is this the farthest Team USA has gotten? I'm a noob to all of this. No. Made the semifinals in 1930 (of course there were a lot less teams) and made the quarters after beating Mexico in 2002.
  20. Suck it mother f***ing refs who tried to keep the US out of the round of 16
