  1. Would Lebron leaving Cleveland be the biggest franchise crippling player loss of all time?
  2. Wow how do you give up in an elimination game. The Cavs should be ashamed.
  3. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) I really don't like him all that much but I'd still take Nash over Deron. Dwill has never done it for me. Give me CP3, Nash, Rose, and Rondo over him. LOL at Rondo over Deron. Not even close.
  4. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 10, 2010 -> 12:49 PM) Just this simple IGN preview sounds awesome: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/108/1088375p1.html You're wreaking havoc in the Wild West GTA style. Personally, this sounds like an awesome concept. Hopefully the game play is better than GTA.
  5. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ May 13, 2010 -> 09:47 AM) So imo, since both the sequel for Transformers and Iron Man bombed, which did you like better of the two? Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen or Iron Man 2 I can't decide, probably lean towards Transformers. Iron Man 2 is a good not great movie that wasn't as good as the original. Transformers 2 was one of the worst movies I have ever seen and a cinematic disaster. Except for Megan Fox looking hot there is not a single redeeming quality of that movie. The acting is awful, the comedy elements are beyond terrible, and the action is shot by a director with no talent so you see a ton of explosions but it is impossible to tell what is going on. Awful just awful.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ May 12, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) Kobe Bryant was a superior player at 25 than LeBron. so was MJ. Jordan was, Kobe wasn't close.
  7. This game is far from over. 4-2 and the Penguins on a power play now.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 11, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) 1-0 Chicago Make that 2-0 Chicago1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 11, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) I only see 1 in the top 50 and 2 in the top 100. Where are you getting your rankings? AH now I see you were talking about the state of Ill, not the school. Yeah, out of the Illinois commits Mycheal Henry isn't ranked yet but I expect him to be in the 50-100 range. But regardless of where he was ranked the fact that he had an offer from Wisconsin with Ryan's eye for talent and had offers from Baylor and Georgetown makes me feel real good about him. Especially since I have seen him play and I like his game, particularly the fact that he is a really good shooter. And Anthony Davis who I listed isn't ranked right now because he didn't play AAU ball last year and plays at a tiny HS that plays crap competition but he has blown up and will likely be a top 25 type player. As of now it sounds like Memphis, Illinois and Syracuse are among favorites but it is way too early to know with him since he has basically only been recruited for a couple of weeks. If he is as good as the hype I would be shocked if he isn't heavily recruited and that some of the big boys get involved.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) And simply refuses to pass the ball. I might cry if he ends up on the Bulls
  11. Carlos Boozer is one of the worst big men I have ever seen at defending the pick and roll. On the Lakers last possession of the 1st quarter, he didn't hedge, didn't come over to help after Korver got beat and really didn't even stay with Gasol. Kind of just stood in the lane and watched. And the end result is an uncontested dunk for Shannon Brown. Pathetic.
  12. 3 errors for the golden boy tonight.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ May 10, 2010 -> 06:58 PM) You should of forgotten Sam Thompson. Way too much of a freak athlete to not be a top 100 type player. My (slightly homer) list would be something like 1. Blackshear 2. Davis (haven't seen him, but until I see otherwise I guess I'll buy into the hype) 3. Egwu 4. Randle 5. Henry 6. Abrams 7/8. Shaw/Thompson (both have the potential to be NBA players, but neither has produced anywhere near the level their talent level suggests they should) 9. Boatright.
  14. Mycheal Henry from Chicago Orr to Illinois (class of 2011). Really good SF prospect. The depth in the 2011 class in Illinois is just ridiculous, Blackshear and Anthony Davis are likely top 20 players, and then you have Egwu and Randle who are very likely top 50 players and additionally you have Abrams, Sam Thompson, Henry, Boatright and Mike Shaw who are all top 100 players. And I am likely forgetting someone.
  15. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 10, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) I hope enough schools say no so that Iowa State gets an invite. Unless the Big 10 is expanding to 20+ schools not a chance. Iowa St. brings nothing to the table for the Big 10 either from an academic or athletic perspective.
  16. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 10, 2010 -> 04:49 PM) Well regardless of finish, Illinois was the 6th best team when it came to the tournament committee. Of the 5 teams that made it over Illinois, only OSU/Wisconsin may be worse. Of those 2 teams, OSU brings in amazing players, and Wisconsin has proven to be one of the most consistent teams in the Big 10 year in and year out. To just assume that Illinois is going to jump MSU/Purdue/OSU/Wisconsin/Minnesota is drinking the kool aid. Let alone to assume that Illinois is going to be a top 4 seed. That is just in the Big 10, we arent even talking about other conferences. So unless the Big 10 has 5 of the top 16 teams (unlikely as they will all have to play each other and will give each other losses) it is a real stretch to say that the measuring stick of Illinois this year is a top 4 seed. Maybe I will be wrong, but there is just nothing statistically to suggest that Illinois will make a much bigger improvement than the other teams listed. In fact Id be worried about NU. (That one is for Zoom) I think OSU/Purdue/MSU are likely all top 10 type teams and as I've said before those are my top 3 teams in the Big 10 with Illinois finishing 4th. I also think the Big 10 is going to be the best conference in America next year and that up to 7 teams could get tourney bids. Freshmen to sophomore is usually the biggest jump and Illinois had a lot more freshmen minutes than Minnesota and Wisconsin which are the two teams I'm expecting them to jump. Minny lost Westbrook and Johnson who were two of their best players and didn't have a recruiting class near as good as Illinois and also had far fewer freshmen minutes. Wisconsin loses Hughes and Bohannon and the only guards they have to replace them are two freshmen, neither of whom are particularly highly regarded. I like Jordan Taylor and love Leuer but there is very little outside shooting on that team unless someone makes a shocking jump and I'm not sold on their guard play outside of Taylor. Wisconsin is very consistent and they will be good as they always are next year but I would be surprised if they finish higher than Illinois.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 10, 2010 -> 03:49 PM) A more reasonable stance would be to hope that Illinois is one of the top 5 teams in the Big 10 next year and makes the tournament. Disagree entirely, they finished in the top 5 of the Big 10 this year, lose absolutely nothing, add a McD AA, a top 30 C, and Crandall Head who is as talented as either Richmond or Leonard. Then when you factor in the usual freshmen to sophomore jumps for guys like Griffey and Paul there is no excuse for that team not to be a top 4 seed type team.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 10, 2010 -> 04:33 PM) As a Big 10 graduate/fan Im extremely meh on these schools joining. Syracuse brings basketball, but not sure what the others do besides bringing numbers. While I have no love for ND, they would bring in a ton of revenue and their football program is solid.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 9, 2010 -> 11:05 AM) Good to see that McCamey and Davis feel playing their season year at Illinois is a better decision than being undrafted. I actually thought McCamey might stay in the draft. Illinois has no excuses to not be a very solid team this upcoming season now. I've said it on here before that while I support Weber, if they aren't a legit top 15 type team next year it is time for him to go. I'm not saying he has to make the Sweet 16 because you just never know what will happen come tourney time but they need to be a top 4 seed type team the entire season.
  20. Wow the Suns sweep the Spurs, every game was pretty close but San Antonio just could never get the big bucket or the big stop when they needed it. Duncan, Ginobili, and Jefferson look old out there.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ May 9, 2010 -> 04:14 PM) So happy we brought Jenks back this offseason, this past offseason looks worse every single f***ing day. It is too bad he wasn't traded 2 years ago when he still had a lot of value but it was clear he was on the decline.
