  1. Rumor Royce White has been expelled from Minnesota. That sucks. http://twitter.com/Fox9Sports
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 10:09 PM) I noticed Legion was playing in garbage time. Not sure if that is a good sign that Paul will be starting, if he didn't tonight. It's odd seeing Paul wear #3 in blue and orange after watching him wear #23 for the last 3 years in the blue and gold. Great start for him. Paul is starting, he and Richardson are awesome. Legion is going to just be a scorer off the bench. He will have some huge games and be a completely non factor in games as well.
  3. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 10:53 AM) If the leak is true, Duke is going to be ridiculous next year. They finally got a PG in Irving, Curry is coming in, plus Barnes? Damn. I'm not sold at all on Seth Curry being an impact player in the ACC but I guess we will see.
  4. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Nov 13, 2009 -> 12:40 AM) +1 When you lead the NFL in INTs,call me crazy but at some point you GOT to blame the QB for bad decision making. When everyone was tearing Rex a new ahole for throwing picks,he also was playing behind subpar O lines and his reciever weren't TO or Randy Moss. I love Cutler and I see he is supertalented but his mechanics are awful and he missed some easy passes. Turner needs to man up and resign. Rex's offensive line was vastly superior to this offensive line. It isn't even remortely close. The Bears were also really good at running the ball which obviously opens up the field a lot more for the passing games. And say what you want about Mushin Muhammad and Berrian but those guys are a much better receiving combo than anything Cutler has to work with. Those guys at least could run proper routes and had some size to help out Grossman on bad throws.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 08:36 PM) Brad Sturdy, the Illini recruiting guru, is hearing Barnes to Iowa State. Don't get caught up in the attire to school though, as we all know of Livingston wearing an Illinois jersey the day he announced. He is usually really informed but he has also said he doesn't really have a great inside source in this case FWIW. Doesn't mean the info is wrong just that it isn't as reliable as the inside info he usually gives.
  6. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 11:49 PM) No. That's just the point. It doesn't "all" fall on Cutler. But for some folks, none of it falls on Cutler. I GET that Cutler has talent. I GET that he's way down the list of problems. Turner is a dope. Angelo built the worst offensive line in the league. Forte looks slow. And the receivers are inexperienced and not so good. I don't even like Kyle Orton, unlike some wackos who make it all about him. What I'm pointing out is something different -- a very weird excuse-everything-Cutler-does mentality that has started to creep into these discussions about the Bears. He's the quarterback, and he's turned it over a lot. And some of those -- yes -- are his fault. His fault. Of course some of the turnovers are his fault. But he is also clearly forcing throws in part because the rest of the team is so bad that he feels he has to make big plays all the time.
  7. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 11:48 PM) Basically for 4 quarter Cutler is running for his life. He doesn't get to sit back like other QBs and make decisions and pick up secondaries and check downs. The ball is snapped usually badly, the pocket immediately collapses around him because the DEs have a direct line to him. If he is lucky enough to step through it then he picks up his receivers and hopes to god that they remember what he called. You know that playbook is pretty long. Then he throws it and prays to god that the receiver looks back, attempts to catch it and doesn't get scared of the hit or makes up his own route ala Madden 10. I am surpised that he is alive at this point. Speaking of the receivers not knowing the plays or how to line up, it seriously seems like the Bears take longer to snap the ball to spike it then other teams because Cutler has to double check to make sure people are lined up properly.
  8. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Nov 12, 2009 -> 11:30 PM) The one where Hester fell down? I am sure he misses the line he had in Denver. And the receivers who actually can get open and run routes and catch the ball. It actually angers me watching how sloppy the Bears receivers are at running routes. It is one thing not to be the most talented guy in the world but at least be clean coming out of your breaks and help your QB out once in a while. Cutler played a bad game tonight but 2 of those interceptions had nothing at all to do with him and I'm not sure a WR has made a play to help him out this entire season. Plus Chris Williams is just embarrassing to watch play right tackle and the rest of the O-Line is horrible as well.
  9. QUOTE (Felix @ Nov 10, 2009 -> 11:22 PM) Obviously this is all pending whether or not he's found guilty, but it's amazing how some people can basically throw their lives away. It is incredible, and obviously hopefully he wasn't involved. If he is does Tubby get rid of him? Two thefts in only a few months on campus after getting kicked out of a High School before he got to Minny it isn't exactly a great track record.
  10. http://www.startribune.com/sports/gophers/...iD3aPc:_Yyc:aUU Looks like more trouble for Royce White.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 9, 2009 -> 11:32 AM) 1. Bosh 2. Wade 3. Lebron 4. Nowitzki 5. Boozer 6. Amare 7. The field No thank you to Boozer.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 8, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) What's new? That's been happening for years. The Cover-2 is a failed experiment. It leaves he team wide open for short passes. , There isn't a single defensive scheme available that this defense would have success with. We have two LB who suck, a horrible secondary, mediocre DE, and with Harris not being what he once was mediocre to bad DT.
  13. BTW anyone else feel like the SEC is fixed to make sure that Bama and Florida face each other for the SEC title. That what a clear interception by LSU that was called an incomplete pass. I'm not convinced LSU wins that game anyways but Florida and Bama sure seem to be getting an extraordinary amount of questionable at best calls in their favor.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 7, 2009 -> 08:13 PM) Navy Charlie Weis is a horrible football coach. LOL at Mr. Schematic Advantage.
  15. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Nov 7, 2009 -> 02:47 PM) Michigan woke Illinois up. Michigan was about to put that game away, but couldn't punch it in from the one yard line. Illinois drove 99 yards and came to life. Michigan never recovered. I have zero doubt that if UM gets into the end zone, whether on the long pass or any of the four runs from the one, Michigan wins that game. We are right back to looking like crap.
  16. Where the hell has this Illinois team been all year? I realize Michigan and Minny are bad teams but still.
  17. QUOTE (SockMe @ Nov 6, 2009 -> 03:09 PM) Mauer, Morneau, Gomez in order Carlos Gomez is a horrendous baseball player. He is good defensively and sucks at everything else. He was bad on the base paths and was one of the worst hitters in baseball.
  18. Except for that first outing in the ALDS Marte has been money in the postseason for the Yankees.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 3, 2009 -> 08:51 AM) Girardi's move of throwing Burnett on 3 days backfired. If he had started Gaudin and lost anyway, they would be up 3-2 with Burnett pitching on 5 days rest, and then CC on 3 days (which he seems to succeed on) or Pettite available on normal 4 days rest. Now he has 37-year old Pettite on 3 days rest, which he has struggled with, and only CC for game 7, although I guess AJ could go an inning or two. Then again, the Phillies have to go with Hamels or Happ in Game 7, so advantage NYY for that game. Burnett sucked in game 5 against the Angels on 4 days rest as well. The guy is an inconsistent pitcher who is dominant when on and will really struggle against good lineups when he doesn't have his good command. If I'm the Yankees I live and die with my best three pitchers taking the ball even if it is on 3 days rest. Also, Burnett had been very good on short rest in his career. I don't think pitching a guy on 3 days rest really is that big of a deal. All I know is that if I'm the Yankees I'm feeling really good about being up 3-2 in this series with Pettitte and Sabathia going up against the mediocrity that is Pedro and Hamels.
  20. Terrible AB by Jeter there. And stupid decision by Girardi not pinch running for Matsui to make that a harder turn at 2nd base.
  21. Things getting interesting in the 9th inning. Yankees have the tying run at the plate with nobody out.
  22. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Nov 1, 2009 -> 11:39 PM) Lidge still sucks... Yep, gives up 3 in the top of the 9th. So barring a miraculous comeback off of the greatest closer of all time the Phillies will be down 3-1 in this series.
  23. ARod comes through in a big spot again. I guess the choker tag is likely gone forever.
