  1. BTW Girardi really needs to bench Swisher. 0-3 at getting the runner home with less than 2 outs the last 2 days.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 08:53 PM) That might be the worst call I've ever seen. Wow. Luckily it doesn't effect the game at least.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 07:39 PM) Nice to see Nick Swisher playing big in the lime light again... He is hitting about .130 in the playoffs including 0-4 with 9 LOB with RISP in the ALCS so far. He basically cost them the game yesterday by failing to get the runner home twice from third with less than 2 outs. If he gets the runner home both times the Yankees put that game away early.
  4. Another blown call by the umps. This is ridiculous.
  5. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) Scoscia should ask for a sample of A-Rod's pee. I'm not sure why anybody is surprised by A-Rod killing it in the playoffs. It was only a matter of time before he had a monster postseason with how great of a player he is.
  6. I have to imagine that Yankees fans are going to be all over Girardi for that move. What ridiculous over managing. Take out the guy who has been outstanding in the playoffs and was looking great tonight for the guy who has been awful thus far in the playoffs seemingly has worse stuff. This after Robertson retires both batters he faces easily. Awful awful managing.
  7. Angels win. I think that was a huge mistake by Girardi pulling Robertson for Aceves with how dominant Robertson has looked.
  8. Terrible play by Rivera there, good throw and he had Mathis easily.
  9. LOL at Swisher in this series. Just getting breaking ball after breaking ball and can't do anything with those pitches.
  10. Unbelievable how many base running mistakes there have been in this postseason. What the hell was Abreu doing.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 06:15 PM) Shiit...Jepsen blows it. He has no command at all right now.
  12. Huge HR there by Posada after Joba had a terrible bottom of the 7th. Also a great call on that pitch out by Scioscia or else the Angels could be down right now.
  13. What the f*** was that pitch selection by the Yankees against Guerrero? Throw him a fastball with two strikes? That makes absolutely no sense, you should never throw him a pitch in the zone in that situation.
  14. Swisher and Cano are killing the Yankees today and Jeter and ARod continue to be the only Yankees to really produce at the plate so far.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) WHat a catch by Olsen That was a better throw than catch. Unbelievably perfect ball by Cutler.
  16. 12 men on the field on a f***ing punt. You have to be kidding me.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 09:33 PM) And with that, it's time to bench Forte. Terrible play calling...should have just done a QB sneak on first down. With the way Kreutz got blown up on those plays a sneak would have failed miserably.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 09:32 PM) Love the same old goal line play calling. Bunch the defense up and and run up the middle. Creative and brilliant. Not a fan of the play calling either but if your oline doesn't get blown up there is no reason not to be able to run it in there. This is also where I hate the fact that all the Bears receivers are so small. I love the fade route around the goal line.
  19. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 05:51 PM) Either way you go, pride or injury, it just doesn't make sense to keep running it up. What's the potential reward for the very significant risk of keeping your multi-million dollar stars out there? Never said it would make sense. Just said that I would love to see it and I would have no problem with a professional team doing it.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 05:43 PM) And even Bill Bellichick agrees, as he has taken Brady out of the game. Paid professionals or not, everyone has pride. There's no need to push it any further than it's already gone. The only reason Brady is out is to protect him from injury. I guarantee you he doesn't care about the Titans pride, which is why he went for it on 4th down just a little while ago. I guarantee you NFL players won't feel any better about themselves because you benched your starters because you felt sorry for them.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 05:28 PM) And I'd love to see Brady throw that 9th touchdown and then have someone roll in to his knee again. Because that's exactly what a team doing that would deserve. Never really understood the argument that a team "running up the score" in the pros deserves to have a player get injured. Do your f***ing job and stop them from scoring.
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 05:15 PM) It wouldn't be Bill Belichick if that doesn't happen. BTW, Tom Brady has 6 TD passes, and it's snowing....... I would love to see an NFL team win 84-0 or something similar. And I have no problem running up the score in the pros. The other players are paying paid to stop you, if they can't F them. I'm guessing the NE starters are probably done now though.
  23. I would love to see the Patriots keep the starters in the game just to see how ridiculous the score would get.
