QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 15, 2007 -> 10:24 PM) Paul's first possession of the game was a dunk on a sideline drive. Paul struggled today but the rest of that team is just awful. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 05:13 PM) Legion seems a little off but that's a real good get for Illinois if it happens. It seems like it is actually his mom that is off. -
QUOTE(rockren @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 01:42 PM) My friend who is a Yankee fan just told me his opinion about the list: "Easy thing to do is just not care about it." Easy for him to say when almost half the list is Yankee affiliation. Most of baseball was using steroids. When it comes to baseball players and steroids I tend to believe in guilty until proven innocent.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 03:11 PM) Glad I didn't get tickets this year, wow. Chester Frazier is useless, I thought this teams downfall would be Meacham as a 2 guard, but nope, it's Chester Frazier. I guess there is a reason he was a 2 star recruit, ugh I hate the thought of the NIT. Illinois did deserve to lose, but the refs may have won this game for Arizona and here's why: Nic Wise CLEARLY was calling timeout with 2 seconds left and the ref ignored it instead of giving him a deserved technical foul since AZ had no stoppages left, and I assume Meacham could have made 1 out of 2 technical free throws. And a special thanks to Bruce Weber for ruining the basketball program, seeing it with "his recruits" is even worse than I thought. I'd be much more upset if help wasn't on the way. A couple of years and Illini basketball will be back. Forgot to mention that O'Neill tried calling a TO with about 40 seconds left but the refs bailed him out by "fixing" the clock. -

QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 01:31 PM) Speaking of Richmond, Weber better get him signed to a commitment as soon as he can. He is killing for Waukegan right now, putting in 25-30 a night. He will play against New Trier on Friday which will be a huge test. Rumors that Kansas and Duke have contacted Jereme as well. Weber went and watched him play at Glenbrook South last week. Make sure no other recruiters talk to him. Hard to believe he is only a sophomore. Richmond is committed, he can't sign a LOI till his SR year. As long as Weber is the coach and Richardson, Paul, and Bertrand are committed he will be as well. All 4 of those guys have committed and have been sold on playing together. Next couple of years will be long but help is on the way and the current freshmen are talented. Since I am still pissed, Frazier has actually played worse this year than ever before. His decision making has somehow gotten worse and still refuses to throw the ball into the post. -

I really don't even care about the results of this season. Play McCamey and the other freshmen as much as possible and get them ready for when Paul, Richmond, and the rest arrive. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 01:06 PM) Wise was about a tenth of a second away from pulling a Webber. We probably would have missed both Fts anyway. -

Frazier basically single handedly set this game into overtime for Zona. -

Weber really needs to start playing McCamey instead of Frazier. Frazier cannot handle the ball at the end of games. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) Outside of that bad charge call on Randle, Illinois has sure been given a lot of favorable calls. No way you call that flop under the basket in that situation. Did you watch the first half? The only reason we weren't up double digits was because of the refs. But yes we got some questionable calls in the 2nd half. -

QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 12:13 PM) Mike Davis is going to be a special player for Illinois. I really like this freshman class. Team is playing really well today. If they would have played like this against Maryland they win by 20. And our awful ft shooting has let Zona in the game. Great -

So I missed the game tonight and saw Hinrich only played 16 minutes. Did he get hurt or benched for his crappy play?

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 4, 2007 -> 03:19 PM) Indiana isn't even the best team in the worst Big 10 I've ever seen, not sure how they plan on winning it all. Anyways, changing your mind is fine, but don't verbally commit to a basketball program as their crown jewel recruit, lie that you have no interest in Indiana for 7 months, then "re-open" your recruitment for 3 months when you actually, it turns out, verballed to Indiana without telling anybody at Illinois. And proceed to lie to the coaching staff throughout the entire process. I would have been pissed regardless, but that is what really got me about the whole situation. And lol at comparing changing your mind about what college to attend to an athlete who outright lied to coaches he had a relationship with for 4 years during the entire process. A far closer comparison would be a guy telling his girl they are going to get married on a certain date. Then cheating on her without her finding out. Then when she believes there is some evidence he lies to her face and on the eve of the wedding after all everything has been paid he breaks off the wedding and marries the girl he has been banging on the side who also has a history of cheating . Is the fiance at fault for continually believing the guy? Yes, but that doesn't mean he isn't an asshole.
