  1. So it would be nice if Gordon remembered how to shoot and Hinrich remembered how to play the game of basketball.
  2. Wow was that close. That would have been unreal.
  3. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 3, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) Does it make me a 'non-real-football-fan' for rooting for the Patriots on that drive only because I needed a Brady TD to give me the win in fantasy football this week? I'm sick of the 72 Dolphins so I am rooting for the Patriots. Although I'm starting to think a Patriots undefeated team will be even worse.
  4. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Dec 3, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) BULLs***. Clearly bobbled the ball. f***ing ridiculous. Agreed, likely wouldn't have mattered with the double personal foul though.
  5. I think he was bobbling that as he was going out.
  6. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2007 -> 10:29 PM) Hold on D in end zone. Yikes! NE getting lots of help. Did look like a hold on the replay though.
  7. QUOTE(Texsox @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 10:50 PM) The best team I saw this year was LSU. The are the only "unbeaten in regulation" team this season. I think putting them in the title game was within the realm of right, but I understand the pissed off fans. The best team I saw this year was Oregon with Dixon. Without him...not so much.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 01:03 PM) Ellsbury might be the most overrated prospect/player in the history of baseball. I really can't see how adding Ellsbury and removing Lester would top the Yankees offer of Hughes/Melky/3rd prospect.
  9. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 11:53 PM) Here is my breakdown based solely on guessing, not having read anything about what specific bowls may do: BCS Championship - OSU vs. LSU Rose - USC vs. Illinois or Georgia Sugar - Georgia or Illinois vs. Missouri or Kansas (Illinois/Missouri rematch?) Fiesta - Oklahoma vs. Arizona State Orange - VA Tech vs. West Virginia Somebody tell me where I am off, please. If Hawaii wins they are in a BCS game.
  10. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 11:40 PM) This seems like the most logical matchup We could potentially see a split national champion this year if that isn't the matchup. Say OSU plays Georgia and USC plays LSU. I could actually see LSU being voted number 1 they were to beat USC and Georgia were to beat OSU.
  11. The OSU team that beat what is likely one of the most talented teams ever in the NC game a few years back was certainly overrated.
  12. QUOTE(danman31 @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:58 PM) Thank you. That's all I care about at this point. Unless Ohio State wins, the national champ is a joke this year. Just to clarify, he said BCS bowl not championship. OSU v. LSU title game. Still don't see how KU should get in a BCS game over Missouri.
  13. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:51 PM) I don't see how you can leave LSU out of the title game. I hope they don't get screwed like Auburn did three years ago. Not sure Auburn really got screwed. There were two other undefeated teams that year. Would Auburn have given USC a better game? Probably but I still think they get hammered.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:54 PM) The sad thing is that the best team in the nation was Oregon when Dixon was healthy. Agreed. If there was an MVP of college football this year it was Dixon. Amazing how bad they were without him.
  15. So the Bulls have finally won back to back games. They basically won that game on the glass today. Bulls out rebounded Charlotte 48-24. Another poor performance by Hinrich though.
  16. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:48 PM) I just don't think OSU is that good, but neither is anyone really else in college football. OSU had a weak schedule, especially their non conference opponents. Does BCS still take into account strength of schedule? This will be without a doubt the weakest national champion since the BCS started.
  17. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:38 PM) Speaking of corrupt, how about the Pitt game? Talk about the fix being in. I brought that up earlier. I would seriously want those officials investigated if I was a Pitt fan. It was absurd and basically rather obvious biased officiating.
  18. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:31 PM) Kind of sad that OSU is going to fall into the title game. Maybe, but they deserved to be there over WVU regardless of today's result. The Big East is a joke.
  19. Herbstreit just said he would have KU in the BCS (assuming Oklahoma win). So basically MU would be penalized for playing Oklahoma twice and KU would be rewarded for losing to the only good team they played, and beating up on a bunch of piece of crap teams. Makes sense.
  20. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 09:56 PM) cough cough playoff cough cough Yep, I would love to see it. 8 teams, take the SEC, ACC, Big 10, Pac 10, Big 12 champions. Maybe the Big East champion. Use the BCS formula to select the at large teams (2 if you want the Big East to get automatic bid, I tend to think they shouldn't and 3 if no automatic bid for Big East).
  21. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) I do think you would see LSU jump back into the NC game in that scenario. It would have to be. No way you could justify KU, Va. Tech, or Georgia getting in over them (all teams ahead of them in the last BCS standings). Quite frankly I don't think KU is very good, did not beat a decent team all year and didn't even make their conference title game. LSU freaking throttled Va Tech, and LSU should obviously be in over Georgia since they won the SEC and Georgia didn't even win their division.
  22. Wow, what a weak freaking call against Pitt there. That should have been a TD without a doubt.
