  1. Weak. Really really weak. ND just got bailed out on that call.
  2. TD and the 2 pt conversion for Navy. One stop, just one stop.
  3. ND gets a FG to start the 2nd OT. Navy will have a chance to win it.
  4. Announcer just said "This is the stuff of which Notre Dame legends are made" in reference to Sharpley's 4th and 14 completion. Um... you are 1-7 and playing Navy.
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 3, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) what the f***. Weiss goes for it on 4th and 8 when they could have kicked a 42 YD field goal for the win. Terrible. Seriously what the hell is he thinking there. One of the dumbest coaching decisions I have ever seen.
  6. ND going for it on 4th down despite being in FG range and Navy stops them. Awful decision by Weis. And an amazing play by the Navy LB.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 3, 2007 -> 03:40 PM) He thinks he's Urban Meyer at times. Its the way you have to play a #1 team if you want an upset. Wisco was limited to 12 yards on the ground. Ouch. Jenkins had a very bad game on defense, and I dont expect that many yards through the air against a team like this. Oh well, on to Illinois. Juice will need to put up some throws to make sure we dont just pack in the defense on Mendenhall I think the only way we have a chance is if we win the turnover battle and they open up the offense and are able to connect for some big plays. I would love to see them take a shot deep to Benn early in the game to get the safeties off the line of scrimmage. There is no way against OSU's defense that we can rely solely on a run game.
  8. TD Navy but they miss the extra point, down just one now. Navy giving ND all they can handle today. I would love to see that streak finally come to an end.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 3, 2007 -> 03:23 PM) Thats his MO. He needed all the breaks to try and take one away from the Bucks. O-H Magic number for OSU down to 2 I understand being aggressive and taking chances. But there is a difference between being really aggressive and taking risk and being stupid.
  10. Wisconsin just tried a fake punt on 4th and 3 at their own 25 and don't get it. Really stupid decision by their coaching staff.
  11. QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Nov 3, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) I cant tell by the previews, is "I am legend" supposed to be like 28 Days later or what? It looks interesting. Not really. But I guess there are some similarities.
  12. I'm 100% sure that a group of me and 4 friends could score against a team of NBA players. I think just about anyone could as long as you have one guy who can handle the ball at a reasonable level. You get enough shots up something will go in.
  13. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Nov 2, 2007 -> 05:04 PM) Hopefully he opens his own hall of fame that respects people's accomplishments on the field and doesnt get swayed by rumor and hearsay. Bonds has never been caught cheating, he has never been found guilty, and yet he is made an example of? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1937594
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 1, 2007 -> 11:26 PM) Team has the flu bug going around right now, and they wanted to see the kids play. Bruce is a discipline wimp, but he wouldn't even sit out a guy in stealth mode for an exhibition game as "punishment". As for the redshirt situation, Cole looked great last night but it's gotta be him. Davis is raw as hell, but his length, athleticism, and instincts at the 4 are too benificiary to not have. I wish they'd redshirt Carlwell as well, as he won't be in basketball shape until league play IMO, but I doubt that happens. Tisdale didn't look great last night, but he's too skilled to redshirt. Oh, and you could redshirt Carlwell. You'd lose a precious 2010, but you just gained one with C.J. on football scholarship officially now. Tough decision. CJ's would already be open for 2010 so you really wouldn't be gaining one by redshirting Carlwell. I would actually lean towards not redshirting anyone and just letting things sort themselves out.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 30, 2007 -> 12:56 AM) Lots of rumors that there will be significant trouble announced for the IU basketball program tomorrow, and I guess Delvon Roe's (I believe that is his name) AAU Coach has hinted towards both sanctions and Roe not going to IU. I am not as in tune on this story since it's not Illinois, but it sounds bad. Roe is committed to MSU so yeah, I've pretty sure he isn't going to IU.
  16. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 09:37 AM) I find it funny. If you want to stop them you have to stop them, not just pray they are good sports about things. I tend to agree. In college and high school and obviously youth sports I think running up the score is a complete douche bag move. In the pros, meh. You are getting paid a ridiculous amount of money. If you don't want someone running up the score on you than do something about it. Now with that said, I think the Patriots are being a bit foolish playing Brady as late into games as they have because it isn't worth the injury risk. Because except for when they play the Colts, the only way they lose is if Brady goes down with injury.
  17. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 06:06 PM) looks like 2010 swingman crandall head (rich central) will make his college choice this week. it's expected head (luther head's brother) will choose illinois. also, zook a committment from homewood-flossmoor's suppo sanni (lb/s). The unreal recruiting turnaround for Weber continues. Crandall Head is from Rich South by the way. Oh, and the HS basketball shootout at Assembly Hall has become an absolute must see for Illini fans. Richmond, Bertrand, Paul, Richardson, and Head will all be there. Plus, Whitney Young is playing and they have our current top target Anthony Johnson (2010) as well as having a bunch of other talented guards (Chris Colvin, Marcus Jordan, Ahmad Starks, etc.). For the first time Weber can actually kind of wait for a recruit without feeling the pressure of the world collapsing if he misses. I really think we put the full court press on AJ and kind of wait him out now as the last guard in those two classes.
  18. New England and Indy are so much better than everyone else it isn't even fair.
  19. Griese and Grossman have made a ridiculous amount of stupid decisions this year. But it would be nice if just once on a jump ball the receiver could you know, go up and make a play, or at least not let the D pick the pass off.
  20. Is it just me or has Urlacher been missing a lot of tackles lately?
  21. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 28, 2007 -> 11:32 AM) Anyone know where I can find a regional coverage map to see what game I will be getting at noon on Fox today? http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2007-08-FOX1.html
