I would still take him in a heartbeat if the Sox could afford to do so. Pedro may not be unhittable as he once was but I would still put him up there with just about any pitcher in baseball. Lets not forget that just two years ago he was 20-4 and with a 2.26 ERA and last year he won 14 games with a 2.22 ERA. How many pitchers could do that if they were "past their prime". And for everybody being so concerned about Pedro this year the guy still has a 3.03 ERA.

Exactly, with the way the NBA rookie cap is set up as well as guaranteed contracts for first round picks, there is not one logical reason to stay in school if you are a first round pick.

I'm not going to get into the rest of this argument because I don't care to but nothing from any religious text should be used in political debate. The reason is that the old testament is God's word according to man. Take everything in any religious text with a grain of salt because it is man's view of what God wants them to do. And if you believe that story verbatim then you also have to believe that there really was an Adam and Eve, a Noah's ark, etc..
