Part of the reason guys dive on a fly ball is that it is easier to get your glove to the level of the ball that way rather than reaching down for it. When you dive of course your going to slow down because you no longer have a force propelling you.

I've been arguing with you because you can't seem to get it through your head that Thomas didn't get it done either and everyone on this team except for a very select few deserves to be heavily criticized for last weeks performance.

Not surprising at all. I would have done the same thing in his situation. Most likely he will win this case as the NBA lost a similar lawsuit years ago. It will be interesting to see where he gets taken if he wins the lawsuit. He is obviously a tremendous talent but seems to have some personal issures (see Lawrence Phillips). I don't think this is going to lead to a NBA type situation where you have guys constantly jumping after high school or a year of college. NFL teams would never draft a guy out of high school because there is far to great of a difference in size and athleticism. Also, money in the NFL is not guaranteed so guys would be more hesitant to jump to the NFL early unless they are going to go fairly high where they would receive larger signing bonuses, which is the only guaranteed money NFL players get.

I know, I was just trying to explain many people's reasoning for wanting Magglio off this team. He is obviously a great player but I don't think he is a $14 million dollar player. If JR is willing to go out and spend money than definately brings Maggs back. If JR is going to cut payroll than I think you have to trade Magglio.
