  1. So Dwyane Wade is apparently talking to the Cavs about joining up again with LeBron in Cleveland this year. He would have to accept a really small contract to make that happen but wow would this be setting up to be the worst season in NBA history to follow. If you aren't playing for Golden State, San Antonio or Cleveland don't even bother showing up. At least this past year the Clippers and OKC also had a chance. Now you have at most 3 contenders and I'm not even sure the Spurs really can give Golden State a run for their money.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 09:30 AM) I'm probably in minority but if I was in OKC I'd probably keep westbrook and just hope for the best. I don't care what "Assets" they get back, they will be useless compared to the small minute possibility that the additional money you can provide him next year will be enough to keep him. Whoever gets him will be great, who wants a bunch of late round 1st round picks? It depends on what you are getting. If Boston is offering up Brooklyn's first round picks I think you take it but I agree that there just aren't many teams that are going to have assets that make it worth dealing Westbrook to them rather than just hoping for the best.
  3. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 4, 2016 -> 11:31 AM) Why is Durant doing this? To ride coattails to a championship.
  4. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jul 4, 2016 -> 11:17 AM) People apparently have short memories... LeBron wasn't on a team capable of winning a title. LeBron didn't join a team that was already the best in the NBA. LeBron wasn't joining a team where he was the second best player. LeBron wasn't joining a team that was already the best in the NBA. LeBron didn't join a team that could win a title without him. LeBron didn't join a team that beat his team in the playoffs in acknowledgment he wasn't good enough to beat them.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 4, 2016 -> 11:01 AM) It is still ridiculous. Pau Gasol, join a team that can get you a ring. Kevin Durant needs to be on a team where they need him to win a ring. Yep, and the thing with LeBron going to the Heat (which was also a b**** move just magnitudes less than this) is that team doesn't win a single title without him and he wasn't leaving a team that was capable of winning a title. He also didn't join the team that was already the best in the NBA and that beat him in the postseason in large part because of his own choke job. Any titles that Durant wins in GS are meaningless towards his legacy.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 4, 2016 -> 10:55 AM) -Watch them still choke. -Westbrook early favorite for MVP. -Saw a tweet saying this would be like Shaq joining the Bulls after leaving Orlando. I would say it would be more like Michael Jordan being a complete b**** rather than being Michael Jordan and joining the Pistons in the 80s.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 06:08 PM) Your hatred for anything related to the Warriors is almost comical at this point. Um, that post has nothing to do with my hate of Draymond Green (who really is the guy I can't stand on that team). A true superstar who is already on a team capable of winning a title who leaves in his prime to join the team that's already the best in the league just isn't a guy I'm ever going to give credit to if he then wins titles with a team that could have won then without him.
  8. So I don't think he will go there but if Durant goes to Golden State I want to go on record that that would be the biggest b**** move by a superstar in NBA history. Way worse than LeBron going to Miami. You are a top 5 player on a team capable of winning a title so if you go to play for a team that beat you where you are arguably the #2 guy every title he wins is meaningless.
  9. Terrible break for Sam Querrey. He is dominating Djokovic right now up 2 sets to none and the match is suspended for rain.
  10. Lol at England. Holy s*** and listening to the commentary during that game was just awesome. They were just hammering England for their play.
  11. So apparently Argentina's entire team is retiring from international soccer.
  12. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 11:00 AM) Even then though, unless they're trading him for a guy they think is a 1st day starter, what's the point? Taj is a very good piece with proven skills on a very team-friendly deal. That's a huge asset. Trading him for potential doesn't make much sense UNLESS you're moving him and the 14th to get a 3rd or 5th or whatever. Up to get Dunn, the guy you really coveted. He will be a 32 year old free agent next summer and the Bulls aren't competing for anything this year. That is why you trade him if you get decent value.
  13. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 24, 2016 -> 09:43 AM) They actually have a ton coming off the books next year. On CSN last night they suggested these guys as possible targets: Eric Gordon, Arron Afflalo, Brandon Jennings, Marvin Williams, Courtney Lee, and Kent Bazemore. I think they need another big and a starting PG. It depends what they want to do. Ideally, they can sign Brandon Jennings to a 1 year deal. Then you are looking at trading Taj Gibson, Mike Dunleavy, and Jennings in season. The Bulls will have roughly $25 million in space once Gasol opts out. What would a Bulls season be without having a guard who can never stay healthy on the roster.
  14. I can't take anything Fran Fraschilla says seriously. It is hilarious how much he overrates all these European players every year.
  15. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) A lot of guys are gifted athletes. He needs to do something besides dunk and do a decent job shooting 3's to be a top guy on a contender. He did that this year. 39% from 3 while taking almost 4 per game.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 23, 2016 -> 11:29 AM) Jimmy Buckets will be playing in the olympics. Could be a good opportunity for him to start recruiting other potential FA's / showcasing the type of teammate he can be (so hopefully he is on his best behavior). I hate the extra minutes he's going to play, but I also view it as a really good learning experience for him to be around some of the best in the NBA. That is really good for Butler. With the amount of guys who have decided not to play because of injuries or otherwise this is going to be a really mediocre team (in comparison to what it could have been). The 8 guys we appear to know so far are Lowry, Butler, Anthony, Durant, Green, Cousins, George and Jordan. That is a far cry from what people thought the team would look like 6 months ago with Curry, Paul, Davis, James, etc.
  17. QUOTE (harkness @ Jun 22, 2016 -> 07:33 PM) Quintana is his own worse enemy half the time... He nibbled and walks and walks. As soon as he gets runs he give them right back. He is the guy that they should trade. He is good enough to get something. Ridiculously stupid post
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 22, 2016 -> 03:26 PM) I would rather watch Khalid El Amin in the back court than watch either Lopez brother play basketball. It's like convincing me Joe Johnson isn't that bad. He is certainly tall and can rebound, but they make me hate the sport of basketball. Robin Lopez is actually a bad defensive rebounder if that makes you feel better. Solid rim protector though.
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 21, 2016 -> 08:48 PM) I swear to god Bradley is on the take. He's been absolutely horrible. And yet Wondo makes him look like Messi. Anyone who would actually even have him on the roster let alone start him against Argentina is a f***ing idiot.
  20. Blouses. Completely outclassed and made worse by Klinsmann's pathetic lineup.
  21. It is early but Wondo and Beckerman bring nothing to the table (this was obvious to everyone before the game even started). Pull them for Nagbe and Pulisic please.
  22. Also that was f***ing pathetic by Guzan. If he plays that ball aggressively he takes it out of the air easily.
