  1. What a joke of a f***ing field. That is f***ing ridiculous.
  2. Lol. Such a bad at bat but works out for the Mets.
  3. Conforto has looked bad in the postseason.
  4. Hendricks is meat. I really don't understand how he doesn't consistently get hit hard.
  5. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 20, 2015 -> 12:19 PM) The best part about the trailer is we still have no real idea what the plot is, and we haven't even seen the most iconic character from the series shown on screen. That's what a trailer should be. Yep. It does a great job keeping the plot under wraps but showing you the incredible visuals (without hopefully ruining the best set pieces) and introducing most of the main characters. Great trailer.
  6. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 20, 2015 -> 11:10 AM) Is it wrong of me that I think Illinois can win 8 games this year? They've been hit with the injury bug big time this year, but they have played pretty solid all year minus one hiccup at UNC. It is going to be really tough with the injuries but every remaining game is winnable except for Ohio State so it is possible.
  7. Kendrick Nunn to miss 8 weeks for surgery on his left thumb. At this point Groce should be fired simply because his luck is so bad. Thankfully it seems like the JCL injury isn't going to keep him out as long as people thought but right now at the start of the season you are looking at a rotation of something like: PG Tate/Lewis SG Jordan SF Hill/Williams PF Finke C Thorne/Morgan Yikes.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 20, 2015 -> 09:19 AM) I still think you pick the best player available. Very rarely do teams have more than 2 or 3 players in the same draft wind up with more than a 1.0 career WAR. This saving money for the 7th or 8th round I would bet hasn't been so fruitful. If from what we are told when we mention the Samardzija comp pick, that it is not so valuable, it has to be more valuable than the guys teams lowball their #1 pick to sign later, and lowballing a pick could mean you wind up with Mark Appel and not Kris Bryant, and Brady Aiken instead of Carlos Rodon. While a couple of people here say it was no big deal, if the White Sox did that, it would mean everyone who has ever even thought about working for the White Sox should be fired. They didn't lowball when they drafted Appel. They just flat out missed that pick. And going low worked great for the Astros in 2012 when they got Correa with the first overall pick and then were able to get McCullers with their compensation pick. Last year I would have taken Rodon if I was them but there were a lot of people that loved Aiken. It just sucks for the Astros that he has elbow issues. I agree with you that passing up on a premium talent to save money is in most instances is a mistake but I don't think that is really what happened in the Astros' case.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 18, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) Star Wars trailer during MNF Any my anticipation for this movie could now not be any higher.
  10. The Bears aren't winning this game today so much as the Lions are losing it.
  11. Lions are such a bad football team. It is like they actually try to lose football games.
  12. That is a terrible call against the Lions. Just a horribly officiated game.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 17, 2015 -> 06:36 PM) Why don't you just have the Qb or Rb take ball and run around behind the line long enough to run out the clock? Guess there's the risk of giving them a shot at a final pass or even a field goal. Craziest ending in recent memory...like Cal-Stanford and the band coming onto the field. Can't do that only up 2. If they were up 3 that is an option and just have them run through the end zone.
  14. There is no way IU should let Kevin Wilson coach another game.
  15. If Indiana loses this game they should fire Kevin Wilson on the spot. Blowing a 25 pt lead to Rutgers at home? Lol.
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2015 -> 01:30 PM) I've seen this movie about Northwestern before. Yep. They just aren't very good. If they played Stanford again Stanford would name the score. That is exactly why I would never schedule a real opponent week 1 of a season (see also OSU-Va Tech last year).
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 16, 2015 -> 02:14 PM) Eh, I'd say deGrom is their best pitcher. It's Harvey's first year back from TJ and to be honest, he hasn't been that great since his good start to the season. deGrom is better but its not that appreciable of a difference. There really isn't a big difference between any of their 3 big righty starters.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 01:48 PM) Is La Stella going to play SS then? There's no way Castro plays short again right? Baez
  19. QUOTE (HuskyCaucasian @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 12:52 PM) <!--quoteo(post=3248454:date=Oct 15, 2015 -> 08:41 AM:name=whitesoxfan99)-->QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 08:41 AM) <!--quotec-->http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/10/15/rep...ilm-coming-2020 Rumor is that the rumor is false. It appears that Fox and Marvel both have issued denials. Of course Sony and Marvel both denied that there was going to be a deal regarding Spiderman and that ended up happening so I wouldn't be surprised if this does happen and they are just ironing out details.
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 10:16 AM) Well he hasn't been there before. To each their own but in my world if you hit a homerun like that, do whatever the f*** you want to do. If the pitcher has a problem with it then don't let up the homer. Not only that but just about every pitcher goes nuts when they have a big strikeout to end an inning. Why is that ok but not a hitter celebrating a home run?
