Next year we add Dunning, Stiever, Crochet, Kopech and Vaughn. To me, that looks like a roster to contend for the World Series. Could be a 5-7 year run better than any this team has ever had in 120+ years.

I've seen Eloy make a few good plays in left this year. Decent arm and he runs OK. Leave him there for a few years. 40+ homers makes up for the rest.

Bieber deserves it hands down. His WAR is almost 3 times higher than Trouts. TA is a close second IMO. I love JA too, but Timmy does it in the field as well as at the plate. I understand about separate awards, but once in a while a pitcher dominates the game.

I just watched the replay in slow mo. Roberts eyes were locked on the ball all the way into the mitt. Don't know how he can run so fast and still focus on something else at the same time.

I thought DD hung in there pretty well considering his control was awful.

His walk rate in the minors went up, even as he moved up to higher levels. Once he figures out which balls he can drive into the gaps, and how to work counts at this level, he'll be really good.

He was the guy you used to compare other pitchers to. I would actually watch the Cubs when he pitched against them.

One thing to remember here. The job of manager for the Sox would be highly prized for any candidate right now. We will be a top team for many years to come. Either go get a top manager like Francona, or insist on the most highly thought of up and comers. This is one time we can get the best is RR goes. Don't waste this opportunity.

Our top 10 prospects are all real high quality prospects. When I started following this list and KW was drafting, we would usually have 1-2 real prospects in total.

On this team he could win a lot of games. Lets watch him pitch to the Twins and Yankees before we get all giddy though.

besides a short term outfielder like Brantley, the Sox really don't need much. With Stiever, Dunning and Kopech coming next year and our long term 1st and 2nd round picks from 19 and 20 drafts , this team is loaded for bear.

Both guys are doing a great job. It took a little while to settle in, but there is always an adjustment period in anything.

Mendick has been really good so far. Not great at any thing, but solid at every thing.

I get your point. He usually does struggle until warmer weather. Maybe skipping April and May is why his overall numbers will be more impressive than normal.
