I'm gonna play the contrarian today. The Sox will start playing competitive baseball sometime next season. I know it sounds like i've been day drinking again, but I haven't. My enthusiasm is based on our starting pitching prospects. Schultz, Thorpe, Eder, Grant Taylor, Iriarte and a few others added to Garrett Crochet. The Sox have at least 3-4 guys who could end up being a true #1 starter very soon. Maybe no other organization can say this. With Korey Lee catching the bulk of games, Robert in CF(fingers crossed) and Montgomery, Ramos and Gonzalez added to the infield it could happen by All star break 2025. 2026 could be a special year.

What I'd like to see is Crochet, then Thorpe followed by Noah Schultz in our rotation. I'd like to see it next year. Sure, we're not gonna score too much. The other teams won't either.

No it's not. Nick uses his glove to help.

Andrew's liner is a metaphor for his career.

He's on life support. A minor injury or 3 bad starts away from release. He's a big strong guy with bad ligaments. I'm usually not harsh about these things, but he's never done anything worth mentioning. I hope it works out for him.

Clevinger to IL, Woodford coming up, Peralta DFA Part II

Seriously, maybe Drew Thorpe will be called up for Clevengers spot the next time thru the rotation. He might not have had enough rest time to go to night. It won't change a thing in this lost season. I might be more inclined to watch his starts though. Between Crochet, Fedde and Thorp, I might tune in 60% of the time. -

I believe Chris Flexen is worth what he is being paid. That means we've only wasted 21.8 million. In your face!! -
Colson is really struggling in a great hitters park. The defensive numbers look fairly pedestrian. If he doesn't flip the switch soon, he might not be up to the task. Sure his plate discipline hasn't abandoned him. It will take more than that to be a good major leaguer. What a damn mess. Quero is down to .211 as well. At least he's young for AA. The tough part for me is that i'm stuck with these clucks. The only thing worse to me is being a frontrunner.

ILoy will not be missed. This stint will take us to the all star break. Over halfway done with this bums last season.

5/21/24 - 6:07pm: The White Sox ( suck ) vs The Toronto Blue Jays

Think about filling 2.5 hours of airtime with these stiffs on the field. I can imagine saying a lot of foolish things. -
Two stupid first names I can forget forever on October 2nd. Yohan and Eloy.
-
I know he aint a real pitcher, but I think Keller got a much quicker heave ho than a few other stiffs did. I would've given him 2-3 more starts. I mean it was the Yankees, at home, when they were rolling.
-
Two more starts like yesterday and we'll get maldanado's kid brother.
-
I hope the Sox get jiggy with it and send Wolkow to Kanny at the beginning of July.
-
He's gonna get 4 months at AA. If he holds his own, the Sox will be in great shape on the infield for 10 years. Of course, reality can be a kick in the slats sometimes.
-
Schultz has a chance at true greatness. He'll handle the jump. Just have to see if his elbow explodes or not. Even if it does, he'll still have a delayed chance at greatness. Jacob Gonzalez turns 22 next week. It's time for AA.If he fails, maybe it'll be time for me to try AA.

One mans opinion. Drew Thorpe should be through with minor league baseball. He might as well get up here and begin his MLB career. There will be ups and downs. He will have a losing record with this motley crew behind him. But he's earned it. Let's give the fan base a glimpse of the future.

Is the next 3 years really a short term?

he'll be in Winston-Salem soon. 13 K's 1 walk.

Haven't the last 3 weeks been a hoot? I haven't thought about drinking hemlock once.
