Keith Foulke was a complete stud in the bullpen. Modeled my pitching after him as a teenager, only pitching out of the stretch with mostly a fastball/changeup combo. Carlos Lee had just started a very productive major league career as well. Miguel Olivo and Jeremy Reed brought us Sweaty Freddy a few years later.

I was 100% convinced Jon Rauch was going to rule the world. I had very high hopes for Danny Wright as well. Then both guys appeared to be damaged goods by the time they made to the majors. Kip was already a favorite of mine after his call-up in '99. Rocky Biddle had cool sideburns, and I remember Big Hurt being a big fan of his after his first few stats. Crazy our system was actually producing major league hitters around this time as well. Now we get Lenyn Sosa.

Basically. Crazy that he will turn 27 by the end of this season. I think he will see time on the major league roster, but who knows what circumstances will lead to that. He could rake in AAA and/or we could see several trades and/or injuries. Unfortunately, I don’t see a major league player either.

I forgot about Tauchman. Can he still play CF? What about Slater? I guess Robert's status (traded or injured) will determine how many ABs will be available to Fletcher. I still believe there will be at bats to go around with the DH spot open, and most of the OF having the ability to play all three spots. We also have Deloach and Colas looking for ABs. Would be nice a problem to have if any of these guys were actually good baseball players.

At this point, I see no reason why Fletcher should not get more extended playing time to see if can adequately serve an MLB role. I understand he is limited in physical ability, but he hit in the minors and people in the org. believed he could hit in the majors so we might as well let it play out at this point. There is not much else going.

Dude will probably go back to being a carpenter after finding out he’s been traded to the White Sox.

According to BA, this is the highest rated minor leaguer White Sox returned at the deadline. Out of the 89 minor leaguers traded at the deadline, William Bergolla is ranked 16th. Alexander Albertus (Dodgers) is ranked 29th. Jeral Perez (Dodgers) is ranked 33rd. Jarold Rosario (Royals) is ranked 61st. Trey McGough (Orioles) is ranked 85th. I was expecting Jeral Perez to be leading this charge.

Rosenthal and Passan have been Orlando this entire time.
