  1. Usually Hahn calls Whitesoxdave before he makes any trades.
  2. He also said 3-4 months. While unlikely, Lynn could be back on an MLB mound in 6 weeks. Looking like 2 months is realistic.
  3. How long would he out and how likely would the issue linger the entire season?
  4. Even if there’s no tear, this means it will be an on-going issue all season. Which means he will be babied, with Kopech already capped at 120 innings, and guessing that will be in the first half the season while Lynn will be missing time. Giolito and Cease will be great this year, but we don’t have much after that. Now they will probably overpay for Manaea and take away from the strength of the team as well.
  5. I know Dunning was used to acquire Lynn and hasn’t set the world on fire, but if we were able to acquire players with minor league talent that aren’t major league ready, we would actually have decent SP depth right now. On the offensive side, we are looking at the same scenario where they have to trade major league ready Sheets/Burger/Romy and even potentially Vaughn to acquire SP. SP we might not even need if the first paragraph wasn’t necessary. I wish this organization knew how to stock pile minor league talent without trading elite major league players, and that they didn’t think major league depth and surplus are the same thing.
  6. Really puts on a damper on the Kimbrel trade.
  7. I think he’s saying true White Sox fans should damn well know Reinsdorf isn’t spending any extra money to acquire a RF from outside the organization when they have MULTIPLE 1B/DH who can handle standing in that RF spot equally as well. And he’s right. We do know this.
  8. Hopefully Robert just freaked him out a little bit when he was favoring his hip and it’s nothing serious. Guessing the injury was caused from the impact.
  9. There’s no reason to believe even the most serious of injuries for Vaughn will result in any serious attempt for Conforto. Most likely just means Micker has a better chance of making the opening day roster and Leury/Engel getting more at bats. That being said, I really really hope there is nothing seriously wrong with Vaughn. I don’t want him in RF, but we need his bat either way.
  10. Yep, he’s an arrogant prick. This behavior also seeps into the booth and has made me like him less as an announcer as well. His opinion is not the end all be all, and is not more important than reality. Sometimes he just needs to shut his mouth, especially when it comes to trashing his own players and insulting his own fans.
  11. The White Sox somehow have me feeling apathetic right before a season with arguably the most talented team of my lifetime. It didn’t hit me until this Giolito situation. Despite my frustration with this offseason, I was ready to roll with our current roster. Thank you ownership for stealing all of the positive attention away from your own product and turning it into negative attention towards yourselves. No seriously though, fuck you.
  12. I don’t think the people have any excitement left in the tank.
  13. I did, but it’s completely gone. I feel delusional thinking otherwise right now.
  14. I’m just not seeing any scenario where waiting is the best option. If there is a scenario where waiting is the best option, it only proves the Sox did not have a plan, or at best executing a plan very poorly. It screams incompetence with zero understanding of the current market. This is how you end up with an off-season of missed opportunities, and arguably no positive value added.
  15. So you think saving a few millions dollars with the risk of missing out on Conforto completely should even be considered in a conversation? That’s an absurd risk to take.
  16. So would that mean they have no intention of using any of that money on the 2022 roster, at least until the trade deadline? If so, f that. Dragging this on just to save a few million really makes picking up his option look silly. If they were making any other moves right now that involved taking on money, I’d feel differently.
  17. How long does it take them to make a decision? They should have all of these options completely weighed out at this point. The longer they wait, the less chance they have of all of these deals still being on the table. Not to mention, any corresponding moves as players are flying off the board left and right. No one is waiting for them. Is this just incompetence or what?
  18. Is this going to be blacked out on YouTube TV because it’s also on the Marquee Network?
  19. You think Sheets/Vaughn is really the plan for RF?
