  1. So wait, they told Kimbrel he might close sometimes and they planned on letting him close sometimes, but he pitched himself out a closer role before he got a chance? Then he continued to pitch poorly because of this? And he was big mad? Is that the story? Honestly asking.
  2. So La Russsa went against what was decided within the organization when they traded for him? From everything I understand, La Russa is essentially the second GM, and he wasn’t involved in the talks about acquiring him and what the game plan would be when they did?
  3. I enjoy the White Sox acquiring good players. I enjoy the White Sox improving their team.
  4. I guess that’s one way summarize/describe the guy.
  5. Feel like something is going to be announced very soon.
  6. I get including Vaughn in a package for Reynolds, but is it also Vaughn for Gurriel/Hernandez?
  7. Vaughn is worth much more than 1 or 2 years of Nola. If they aren’t getting a cheap and controllable SP for Vaughn, I hope they’d just shell out the cash in free agency.
  8. The inevitable Kimbrel trade taking out one huge 2022 hole/need with authority sounds too good to be true. If this is in realm of possible, I am guessing we would need to include a prospect or two. If they are looking for something major league ready, I wonder if they’d have any interest in Jake Burger to challenge Bohm at 3B while providing power off the bench.
  9. I am a big fan of C, and it was difficult to choose anything over adding Scherzer to the rotation. But I just couldn’t pass up the relentlessness of the Option B’s lineup, with a ton of LH power. B also manages to improve the defense slightly while having five above average starters with room for improvement. SP 1-4 are also plenty durable to allow Kopech to breath a little in the 5 spot. Option B just seems like the team with the least chance of failing at being extremely good.
  10. I would be extremely happy with any of the three, but Option B would make me the happiest. Does anyone know the last time we had an all RH starting staff? Anyone know of recent success stories in MLB? I have no concerns with any of those pitchers doing well individually, but wondering if being all RH is known to have a negative effect on the staff.
  11. That’s me right now. Brb, have a couple more posts to go.
  12. Conforto is a good player who fills a bunch of White Sox needs (LH power, OBP, not worst RF in MLB). I do not believe his best offensive years are behind him. It is the opposite in his case. I will welcome him as one of our offensive additions with arms wide open.
  13. “Like” this post if you believe Tony’s head is photoshopped. “Fire” this post if you trust dude with the plain black baseball hat. ”Thanks” for Sammy Hagar.
  14. Is there something to the Scherzer thing or just wishful thinking? The Sox might actually feel more comfortable signing him to a multi year deal as opposed to a younger player, as there’s no way Scherzer’s camp can reasonably ask for anything more than three years.
  15. Thanks, that’s what I figured. My 4 year old just discovered what SoxFest is, and was pretty pumped about it so wishful thinking.
  16. Ugh, how do you make the Tweet all fancy in the post?

  18. Has anyone heard if it is happening?
  19. I would like to know how many times this actually happened.
  20. Take a look and Yasmani’s stats compared to Sanchez. I knew Yasmani had a much better season, but I didn’t realize he was in another universe until I just looked. What is this garbage? All-offensive awards that ignore every offensive stat? Offensive.
  21. The Sox could have done a lot of things, outside of just letting their talent play, to increase their chances of winning a short playoff series. The talent is there, they don’t need an overhaul. They need to play better baseball, and that includes preparation and game plans from our coaching staff.
