  1. I thought maybe this year I’d be able to conquer my PTSD and stop being terrified every time I see a White Sox player running at medium speed. But just like this pathetic organization, it’s not going anywhere.
  2. They were both strains of the hip flexor, but in 2021 it completely ripped off the bone and he was on the ground in excruciating pain. This isn’t good, but it’s definitely not as severe of a strain. Not sure what that means in terms of recovering time and whatnot though.
  3. Eloy needs to hit three bombs today to make up for his pathetic performance yesterday.
  4. I’m not sure that comparison really makes sense. It also doesn’t take away from Caulfield’s point that Katz can take credit for essentially reinventing Rodon, turning his career around, and making him not only a successful MLB SP for the first time in his career, but an elite one at that. But I am honestly also not sure how good Katz is of a pitching coach ? I had high hopes for him after with some early success in his tenure, but then outside of Cease in ‘22 and Santos in ‘23, it’s kind of been a disaster the last two years.
  5. Let’s all just chill about six at bats, please. Maybe the guy never pans out, but this does not prove anything.

    ST Thread

Lol. That’s supposed to be Ice Cube from Friday forcefully asking, “what he say?” But apparently I’m not savvy enough to embed the clip.
  8. I also thought Jose Rodriguez was being traded to the Blue Jays when I first saw the thread title. Then I couldn’t get rid of the full page ad that popped up while opening the thread and I experienced a few seconds of minor anxiety.
  9. Same. Although I am also good with cashing in on one good year of relief, but not completely sold on the return beyond turning one thing into three (plus bonus pool). Overall, these trades gave me a little pep in my step, and I’ll admit I am a little excited to see what a new front office can do, even if it’s not the one we wanted.
  10. I think it was Rollins, along with Avila and Frazier. All three were veterans who were new to the team, and apparently did not enjoy the idea of having a child in the clubhouse all day, everyday. What a weird year. All of that to finish in 4th place, again.
  11. I’m surprised so many people are upset by this trade. My expectations for Mena have never been great, so I have no issue turning him into an OF who appears can be a productive all around player for the next six years, despite the low ceiling.
  12. What a play by Getz leaking this info to put the pressure on Pillar’s camp.
  13. I’ve made it this far in life without listening to anyone on the Score talk for more than 15 seconds at a time. I plan to keep this streak going for the rest of my life. Honestly looks and sounds like a method of torture.
  14. Thanks, man. Appreciate it. We took a roadtrip to Charlotte this past summer knowing there’s an opportunity for more interaction with the players before and after games. He was in awe personally handing Oscar Colas and Victor Reyes a ball to sign, getting a baseball thrown to him from a random reliever after a game, and getting some promotional stuff from their staff. You’re 100% right that’s the kind of stuff that helps turn kids into real fans. It’s definitely not just watching entire 9 inning games, especially during years when the team blows. I had to lie and tell him the Cubs were horrible this past season too lol. Glad you’ll be back in action as well!
  15. Yes, my son has been waiting to go for the last two years. Potentially meeting a player/getting an autograph, getting a souvenir/game ball are some of his favorite parts of going to a game. He couldn’t believe there’s an actual event where you have that opportunity to meet almost every player and get their autograph. After the last two years have been cancelled, he’s probably starting to think I’m making it all up. I’m just pumped to finally take him next year. I doubt I’ll do much yelling at his favorite team in front of him lol.
  16. His entire Twitter timeline posted and taking 20 minutes to scroll through on my phone is obnoxious.
  17. The fact that there were multiple “just getting started” posts highlighting failure leads me to believe this was intentional. No idea what the motive would be, but there’s no way someone working for an MLB team didn’t understand those stats were poor and weak groundouts to 2B are not good. Even if the person was just an intern.
  18. So if this is almost universally considered a good thing, it’s not happening. We don’t get nice things, we don’t get to be happy.
