  1. My lord. There’s a chance he doesn’t realize, right? White Sox were never a good org., but when did we become the “old” Mets.
  2. That’s exactly what happened. Scared me when I saw him hobbling and holding his “leg,” but the replay showed a foul ball bounced back up straight into his sack. Gave my 5yr old son a good laugh, at least.
  3. 1.9 WHIP through 25+ innings with the White Sox. Not sure how literally anyone else could be worse. Not only is he still rostered, he’s being relied on to protect leads late in the game. Not like this team didn’t desperately need a win. This was such a crucial game to potentially avoid sending them into a massive tailspin. Yes, I was still holding out hope they could right the ship a little.
  4. He better be gone before that. There is almost no other outcome than him walking at least one batter. Basically just bringing him in for the sole purpose of putting runners on base. Tonight it was him also creating a high leverage situation to burn your closer. And by design apparently, according to Grifol post-game. He’s not even striking guys out. He is almost at 30 IP with the White Sox now. Why?????
  5. This game really pissed me off. I am still pretty mad about it. Much worse than how I normally feel watching this regularly infuriating team over the last year.
  6. How many hitters does this jerk have to walk before he is actually DFA’ed?
  7. Now Moncada doesn’t want to provide for his family. Lol.
  8. Umps pay more attention to a millimeter of someone’s foot being on the grass than a clock counting down right in front of their face apparently.
  9. See the last few pages of today’s game thread.
  10. Well now he’s hinting it’s still a minor injury, out two to four weeks, and Lenyn is getting called.
  11. Yeah, not sure the point of all of that.
  12. I know he’s supposed to be Jerry’s boy or something. I still want to fight the tweet.
  13. This tweet is annoying. On top of the fact that it’s alluding to TA possibly dealing with a serious injury. I hate everything about it.
  14. Newsflash: it’s not. Unfortunately. Newsflash.
  15. I am choosing not to be miserable yet.
  16. I think Sox players never actually sprinting last year plays into this. All 2022 data is more like jog speed or limp speed. TA was the only “fast” player who actually looked good on the bases last season. Hopefully we get a full season of that. It is natural for players to slow down as they age, but I expect Robert, Moncada, Eloy to look a lot better on the base-paths this year. Even Grandal who is always terribly slow was surprisingly immobile on the base-paths. He seems to be moving better this year. Not sure how much playing time Romy will get this season, but he’s got some wheels on him as well. When I look at their roster, it doesn’t scream near-slowest-team-in-MLB, but we will see.
  17. What’s crazy is that he actually lowered his BB% after coming here from Boston, but almost doubled his H/9. Some of that can be attributed to poor defense and bad defensive positioning, as he did improve his GB%. Either way, he has looked nothing but horrible in a White Sox uniform. He is regularly behind in the count and does nothing but put runners on base. 2+ WHIP in a White Sox uniform speaks for itself.
  18. In reality, I’d say he has about two weeks to show he’s an adequate MLB pitcher.
  19. I have been fairly positive about the last three games and optimistic about this season, but I do not have much hope for today’s game. I just cannot visualize Clevinger pitching a good game against the Astros.
