I think it’s pretty much, you can try to suppress his service time and get the extra year but if that player is 1/2 in ROY, he’s getting that extra year regardless. So if you think the player has a chance to finish 1/2 ROY, you better call him up OD so you can at least get that draft pick since he’s getting the full year either way. Even if the player called up OD doesn’t get 1/2 ROY, you’re still rewarded an extra draft pick if he’s 3 ROY or top 5 MVP/Cy Young. Although in most cases, top 5 MVP/Cy Young would be 1/2 ROY anyways.

I am sure they will find an okay player no other team wants eventually.

I would happily accept Gallo, at this point. Adding Gallo to the current roster improves the team, and I will take any of that we can get.

Please give Moncada a chance this season with a coaching staff that actually works with their players, especially on a game to game basis. I am of the belief this is going to make a massive difference for a lot of the current players.

It sucks to have completely lost any last shred of hope that this organization will make the correct move in anything they do. Not hyperbole when I say this is the lowest point for me as a White Sox fan in 30+ years. There have been far worse teams/eras in terms of talent, but I’ve never felt this kind of hopelessness bordering on indifference.

Isn’t Big Frank supposedly the reason the Sox didn’t sign Barry Bonds as well? I thought it was pretty well known The Hurt was a big cry baby during the first half of his career. I remember hearing that about him in real time when I was a kid. I also have visuals of him angrily sulking in the dugout. Regardless, we will probably never see a better hitter in a White Sox uniform. All is forgiven.

Yasmani, and like a few others have said, it’s not even close. He’s provided negative value across all facets of the game, while being the highest paid player on the team. Can anyone remember the last time he did anything to help the team win? He hits the ball with zero authority and if he somehow manages to get on base, he is shockingly slow. Far from ideal with a team full of singles hitters. With that said, a lot of this might be due to on-going leg issues. Just start hitting a HR here and there, man.

I cannot even visualize the White Sox winning any of these three games in Baltimore. I am being dramatic. I am not being dramatic.
