Then his client and him wont get paid. No one is gonna pay more than $10-15M now for very damaged goods. -

$10M or less now. My personal opinion is don't go over $10 for 1 year with team option for year 2 -

Who would have thought it was so minor. Oh I know, maybe those that know more than the comman fan -

It's actually the opposite. The fair weather fans are the ones who overreact -

I get it but come on lol. Vaughn stood up and shook his hips, what did Madrigal and Robert do when they got injured, they laid on the ground in agony. -

The overreacting here is very funny. He probably has like a hip pointer or something like that. I'll assume that is all it is until the team states differently -
From my White Sox Top 20 Prospect List: 4. Jake Burger: there is no one who deserves to be here more. Either by sheer perseverance or skill, Burger missed 3+ seasons because of a couple torn achilles and the pandemic but he still managed to prove there is a legit mlb caliber player ready to star. Burger hit .274 with 18 HR at AAA and looked comfortable hitting .263 with 1 HR over 15 games in the bigs. He is only going to get better with further health and time to actually hone his skills. I fully believe if the Sox ever trade him or man up and give him a playing time, he is a .275 hitter with 25+ HR potential. He definitely is primed to break ST with the team with expanded rosters. The Sox better give him a shot at 2B if he can be serviceable in the field bc the bat will play big time imo.

From what I'd personally pay him, its a lot more than $5M $6M meantql we could have had Joc Pederson so... You also have to think about what that $5M+ over 5 years is gonna be. Say you font spend it at all, you could use that $25M to extend a competent offer to one of our big guys Gio, Timmy, Eloy, Robert, etc You can't just look at $5M in a vacuum, its $5M+ over the length of the contract. Small money over a longer period is big money -

I didn't say release anyone And the Sox don't "need" Conforto if they feel Vaughn can play RF. Leury is playing 120+ games so they just need someone to fill in for RF at times. Now would I cut Leury......without thinking twice -

Bc I'm practical and look at things as if I'm running the team. Say you over pay by $5M per year and give him the 5 years. What happens if he is a complete dud.... You then are stuck with a highly overpaid crappy OF that you cannot trade or get rid of. Think the Cubs with Hayward. That means he will be our RF (playing like shit) for 5 years, no matter how good any prospects in the system now or traded for are playing. Now if you saved that $25M, his contract could be more palatable to trade for or we could use that money to pay some of it to get something better in a deal. If he however is great than his value would be increased if he were traded, if he were not to be traded than that opens up the extra money to spend on other positional needs to build a really good team -

I have, not at the $22-25 million price that you and everyone else wants us to spend on him. I've said multiple times we should and could sign him if its a much smaller contract More years than $15-17M 1-2 years max $20M No way in hell will we give him a $100M + contract -

Don't tell @Polar Bear! Dude's got a 50% chance of eating the biggest crow sandwich on earth! Id agree, without him getting vaccinated that's pretty much the market, maybe another team or two is in the mix but that does seem about the entirety of it -

I think I'm warming to the idea of keeping him. We will definitely need him and the extra bullpen depth as most pitchers will not go more than 4 or 5 innings for the first month or more. -

He can't play in NY unless he gets vaccinated as well. -

100% true. Yet 80% of this board thinks we are getting Belly or Haniger, pure insanity reigning supreme on soxtalk ?
