  1. I liked that the movie focuses so much on Carlos Pena being dogshit and playing too much when he had 140 freaking PAs and ended up having a hell of a career.
  2. Brandon McCarthy doesn’t know anything about a professional locker room? Come on bruh
  3. The #1 job of a manager in today’s game is man management. Tony is failing spectacularly at this. From the Passan article to now this, there has been a ton of smoke that some players dislike him to say the least. Say what you want about Ricky, the players loved him and loved playing for him.
  4. Hot take: Moneyball was a boring slog of a movie
  5. TLR is just a dinosaur. This has nothing to do with age either. Dusty Baker is over 70, but he has adapted to the modern game. Being upset over unwritten rules shit is one thing, but eliminaing shifts is the thing that will lose us a lot of games in the long run.
  6. Looking at signs probably isn’t high on the priority list with a position player pitching in a blowout
  7. I reported this post for being too funny
  8. Is this a big deal? Probably not. Is this the 500th piece of evidence that Tony should knock back a couple Tom Collins in a country club instead of managing the most extroverted team in baseball? Yeah… tlr retire b****
  9. Yermin will go on a home run tear now to spite Tony. 4D chess baybee. Seriously though. Fuck off Tony. Apologizing to the Twins when they had a position player pitch and dropped all pretense of trying? This shit makes me more mad than the many in game blunders Tony had. Did I say that he had many of them? Tony La Russa retire b****
  10. The standings are not meaningless. As the old adage goes: Can’t win the division in May but you can sure lose it. The Twins dug themselves quite the hole. They need to win games at an insane clip for 120 games to contend for the division.
  11. I don’t think it’s legal to have two hitters in the batter‘s box at the same time ?
  12. Donaldson is an easy guy to root against, at least we can all agree on that. When he dropped an easy double play ball that cost the Twins the game against Oakland, it couldn’t have happened to a better man.
  13. I‘d argue that it’s the old school mentality that shows a lack of sportsmanship. All this pretense about showing respect is more out of fear of getting plunked in the old days. Throwing at someone to demand respect for the game is far less sportsman like than admiring a homer or flipping a bat. Plenty of sportsmanship in today‘s game. Watch the reactions of the Braves when Pillar got hit in the face.
  14. I‘d rather have Lamb at the plate than Billy. At least even this version of Lamb can run into one.
  15. Astudillo can throw harder, probably a lot harder if he wanted to. He just lobs it up there for some laughs and to make the hitter look bad. Once you have a position player pitching and he isn’t even trying, all the unwritten rules are even more bullshit.
  16. I want to say this is a bit, but just like Andy Kaufman, you never quite know with caulfield.
  17. With the Sox missing 3 out of their 5 best position players, I‘d be okay with taking one game this series.
  18. Is Pujols‘ deal the worst contract in MLB history? Gotta be up there.
  19. The Twins lost in a really bizarre way today.
