  1. The kimbrel trade (if they can even find a suitable package) and any free agent signings will happen after the lockout. Also, wouldn't be shocked if Reinsdorf saw the news about expanded playoffs (jesse rogers first to report it hmm) and decided that they didn't need to spend anymore money to make the playoffs or try and win a championship.
  2. this is a disaster. Hahn and co were not prepared for this type of situation at all. They believed it would be business as normal. Ineptitude of the highest order. I am going to reserve any call to action until everything is said and done, but this is deserving of a mutiny from sox fans
  3. I have come to the conclusion that the only shot at doing something before the lockout hits is trading kimbrel. From chatter through the grapevine, it sounds like the sox arent giving any competitive offers in free agency at all. They really messed up like harold said.
  4. who do we have to play in the playoffs to get to the world series? American league teams. Tigers have gotten and will get far better. Royals will be better. And you have no clue how the format is going to look after the CBA. More teams will probably make it, making it tougher. the rangers are not in a rebuild anymore after signing those guys that is dumb
  5. Multiple teams in the AL have gotten far better, and it can be argued we have gotten worse since the start of last year. Not sure why there is optimism from some. This is bad
  6. You are probably right. Keuchel has really hamstrung us too. Geriatric Jerry needs to go
  7. put words inn my mouth with a name like ron ?anyway i believe in any source that has a history of getting things right like NSC and Pal. Not hard to grasp and the offseason is a lot more fun that way
  8. pal do you think they get anything done today or are waiting for post lockout?
  9. the amount of optimism from the sox lack of moves is wildly shocking
  10. That is what i like to call cheap, especially if those numbers are well below the market evaluations
  11. you can't be comparing the front offices and expenditures of the dodgers to the white sox, you're too smart for that. You're also too smart to ignore the impending lockout with no clue how long it will last. Come on now
  12. that is also a problem with mlb evaluations. Also a problem because geriatric jerry is cheap
  13. hahahaha the front office is holding a birthday party for minnie minoso in the B lot on the last day before the lockout, i think I am done with the offseason until post lockout
  14. Cishek wouldnt come anywhere near here or any of you ?
  15. but i was ripped on for suggesting how shit the front office has been at evaluating MLB talent and that this offseason would be more of the same! oh well, looks like it is.
  16. did you even read the follow up tweet? he said this time sarcastically. You're caught up in some weird semantics
  17. Im sure at the time nearly everybody thought what they did at the trade deadline was impressive one way or another
  18. lmaooo you guys will trust the likes of harold's left leg but wont trust cishek who has proven to be right time and again, just picking and choosing who you want to believe ?
  19. the front office cares about the public perception. In order to keep his source Cishek probably says whatever they want him to say. And they want sox fans to think they're being aggressive and working hard, which signals to me they're trying to save face for when nothing happens before the lockout.
  20. right but it's interesting that we were in the mix
  21. opinions can be different than reporting, but fair. nerds aren't the smartest sometimes
