  1. Wow what? That's crazy. I'll look into the feasibility and let you know. Awesome, can't thank you enough.
  2. I get it. I'm just hoping that they have prioritized pitching, and still add a pitcher or two.
  3. Wow. Absolutely beautiful guitar. The walnut back is amazing. Sounds fantastic. Great, now I have something else on my list. Thanks a lot jerk. Hahah!
  4. I get why everyone likes Springer. It was fun to dream on. He wasn't my number 1, that was Bauer, I'm a pitching first guy. But again, just a dream. We live in White Sox land. You know why Jerry Reinsdorf owns the White Sox? Because he loves baseball. The Sox are his hobby. Just like playing guitar is mine. He's said as much. He has also said he isn't running the team to make money or lose money. Now, I think we all know Jerry is a better businessman that that and that he has made absolute gobs of money from the appreciation of the team alone. But to think that the Sox were going to act our of character, especially in a year like this, was nothing more than a dream. It sucks. Eaton isn't the guy I would have signed. Hell, if I had my way, it would have been Bauer, Hendriks, McCann and another pitcher (Lynn is perfect). And I would have rolled into 2021 with Engel and Leury in right. But I also don't know that Eaton is done. He was pretty darn useful in 2019. Last year he was terrible. Was that decline or an anomaly due to the weirdness of the season? I have no idea. There were a lot of usually good players that were terrible this year. I wish the Sox would put on their big boy pants and act like they are in Chicago. But I've seen enough to know they won't. We get Adam Eaton and hope he still has gas in the tank. But you know what, if this gets Hendriks and another SP on the roster, I'm ok with it.
  5. Eh. I like it more than the I hate everything, and the isn't this the worst part of the season, post season, off season. Whatever.
  6. I'm a GIbson guy. I have a Les Paul and a Custom Firebird (my favorite). I have a real nice Martin Acoustic, which was my last guitar purchase a few years back. And the Customer Les Paul, well let's just say, I'm on a White Sox budget and that's more of a Gerrit Cole... And the guy on the homepage of Lowden is Ed Sheeran? Yikes. I'm not familiar with them but that seems like a non starter for me!?
  7. No, working on it though. ? It doesn't really matter though does it. No matter if it is personal or professional, we all have budget constraints to some degree. If I spend a dollar here, it means I can't spend it there. I know I have to be judicious about where I spend my money.
  8. Maybe I'm underrating him or have missed something, but how is Robbie Grossman in any way a superior player to Adam Eaton. Looking quickly at his BBref page, 6.7 career WAR in 8 years. Negative dWAR. Can't particularly hit. No real power. Doesn't really steal bases. Takes some walks, so that's nice. But even that last 2 years, he is worse than Eaton in every category along the slash line. What am I missing with him? He seems like the quintessential replacement player.
  9. You know, I'm in the market for a guitar. And the other day, I saw this beautiful Fender Custom shop Tele. Butterscotch blonde, heavy relic finish. Just beautiful. Custom Pickups. The thing is freaking awesome. And I could buy it. I have the money to do it. But, if I buy it, then I have less (like almost none) money to buy stuff for my wife and kids for Christmas. They've all had tough years. I'd like to spoil them a bit. But I'd also like the guitar. I've been saving for one and researching them for a while. And you know, I think I deserve it (probably not, but I want it). So you know, it isn't one or the other. I was able to find another Telecaster that I really like. Not custom pickups, but sounds great. Not a vintage guitar, not the relic finish, which I love. But it looks great. Cool looking guitar. Sounds great. And you know, I have other guitars. Ones with the some of the fancier features, and with really cool finishes on them. This one will be a little different, but it will still fit in. With this in mind, I think I'm going with the second Tele I mentioned. Its like 25% of the price of the other one. And it gives me more money to spend on other things I need to buy. Maybe even get some stuff we don't really need, but would be nice for the kids to have. Just thinking out loud.
  10. This is where I came into the conversation. Could you please direct me to where you made any sort of coherent point that I am supposed to get?
  11. I have no idea what point you made or you are trying to make. If it was earlier in this thread, I didn't read it all. Sorry. Is the point the Sox are cheap? If so, yeah. Duh. It sucks, but you have to live in reality.
  12. Yeah. Totally sucks getting a guy that has finished 5th and 6th in Cy Young voting the last 2 years. What a bum. Lynn may have been the best pitcher available, and Bauer, was never realistic anyways.
  13. And the Twins could lose, Rosario, Cruz, May (already lost), Odorizzi, Hill, and Marwin. Who are their 4-5 starters that make them better than Cease/Kopech/Lopez/ Whoever? I don't think people realize how soft the back end of team's rotations are.
  14. The Astros? I can't lie I'm surprised at that. They were under .500 last year, they are likely losing Springer and Brantley. And it isn't like their pitching is really proven. They could be better, but I don't think on paper they are better than the Sox right now.
  15. Who, at least on paper is better? The Yanks? Then maybe the Rays? Who else? The Astros are falling, the A's have a ton of questions, the Jays? I wouldn't say the Twins or Indians are better at this point, would you?
